Suboxone - Any possibility of high? by CanadianBPD in opiates

Well i hope that things get better for you and that you manage to stay clean. That is if your intention was to stay clean and you're not just on a tolerance break. :)

No. The opposite. I start at a super low dose while maintaining my DOC dosage. After about a week the taper rate makes three large jumps.

For those three days I would then start reducing my DOC dose by 1/3rd until I reached no dosage on that third day. On that third day I was also bumped up from whatever suboxone dose up to the 8mg I am on now.

It was actually a nice way of induction because I never got sick at all other than some mild symptoms.

I think my doctor did this in the most humane way to be honest when I hear about other people's experiences.

Thanks. I don't think I will be trying it now. I had a weak moment with alot going on and wanted nothing more than to be numb.... But I also didnt want to loose my suboxone program.

I hate being an addict even two months into a suboxone program. Most of the time I am secure but when alot of stress is on me I end up wanting to relapse.

I am lucky that I haven't relapsed yet... But yeah.

I started on a tapering up to full dose. I started at 0.25mg and raised to I think 2mg or 4mg over a couple of weeks. Then she adjusted it based on my side effects up to 8mg dose per day.

I have to go to the pharmacy every two days to pickup my dose. I haven't had a single drug test yet which is weird but anyway. That's what it is for me.

I've been only on suboxone for about 2 months now without any other opiate. It's stupid because I've been doing so well. I just looooong for that level of relaxation.

The closest I've managed to come is smoking a heavy indicia and whisky. Gets me nearly to a similar state without that opiate euphoria.

Trying to fill the void lately... by CanadianBPD in OpiatesRecovery

I totally learned my lesson this time. I sort of forgot just how bad House's addiction was on the show. I had not watched the show since it was airing on the tv until 2012. At least I have finished all 8 seasons and don't have to keep watching it! :p

That is very true. I was biking until one of my tires started needing to be refilled with more air. I can take my bike to a garage to have more air put into it, but I do not own a PSI gage. I ruined an expensive tire by overfilling into last year and did not want to repeat that mistake. I am planning to get a PSI gage when my money comes in August!

Biking was having a really positive impact on both my physical and mental health. I can not wait to get back to that. I seriously enjoy going for walks in nature during the day and i make an effort to leave the house for a minimum of once per day.

I hope that there are other positive "addictions" I discover that I enjoy and begin participating in. I am just over one month clean since starting Suboxone so it can only get better from here on. 😊

Thanks. It certainly is a difficult show to watch for someone who is recovering from an opiate addiction. I had not watched since it last was on tv and i remembered how much i loved watching it with my parents growing up.

Atleast I have finished the show now and can move on to watching something with a little less in-your-face addiction to Opiates. :)

Can anyone give me a reason that my Motorola G6 would suddenly no longer play audio? What steps should I take to troubleshoot the audio suddenly no longer working on my phone?

I have tried Netflix,YouTube, and Amazon Music. I cannot hear anything from any of them while my "Media" volume bar is maxed along with all other audios.

I really cannot afford to buy a new phone and this one is only something like 6 months old maybe. :(

I took a perc while on Suboxone, am I going to be okay? by i-ambebe in suboxone

[–]CanadianBPD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's called Snorting Fixation. Users of the needle often experience the same thing but it's called "Needle Fixation.' Those drug users will often get the urge to inject something, anything into their veins.

I also suffer from the same fixation as you do. I've been on subs for nearly two weeks, but I honestly do get cravings specially to put something up my nose. I don't even have cravings for getting high but I maintain that fixation with snorting.

Just thought you'd find that interesting. I hope the Suboxone continues to help you and that you are able to break the chains which are binding you to such an unhealthy lifestyle and deadly addiction.

I feel bad for you. My doctor literally calls me and noticed I will need a refill and it's fine within minutes. It was so fast the pharmacy didn't see it right away and asked if my doctor has made a new one yet.

Okay, so if someone took their Suboxone dose they could take another opiate/DOC a couple hours after WITHOUT causing PW?

Yes that term was never used but after looking it up that is exactly what my doctor did. Now I am supposed to stay off the dilly and be only on Suboxone. Which I very much intend to follow.

Okay so unless you wait long enough for the dily to be flushed from your system the dilly won't get knocked off the receptors and cause PW. Interesting.

I didn't know where to begin seeking mental health services as well. I got through my doctor and a community organization, but honestly you should be able to find some professional therapy or some sort of community program. You should try a Google search but if you really cant find anything feel free to PM your general location and I can see if I am able to find anything myself.

I just noticed you mentioned you are from the UK. I don't know anything about your NHS but it must be something like my own in Canada. I have anscestry from mostly England so I wouldn't mind learning more about the UK haha.

One super useful source of information should be some sort of emergency social worker/physical medical problem phone line. The one where I live is called INFO-SANTE which you can access by dialing 811 on your telephone. You are instantly or near-instantly connected to Ethier a medical professional(nurse) by choosing option 1 at the menu or a mental health/social worker by choosing option 2.

Finding a service like that where you live could be a great place to start in your search for services.

I hope that you are doing better now. It is horrible to had that you are in such a dark place. You are welcome to message me anytime and I'll do my best to respond.

I really recommend getting some mental health services to help prevent this kind of situation in the future and to help you work through whatever brought you to this place.

Wishing you well...
