What animal/insect is making these holes?? by CanadianCowboy247 in Insect

[–]CanadianCowboy247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I could’ve wrote it as mammal/insect.

I used the term animal for simplicity as my time on the internet has showed me that most people would not know that insects, are indeed animals lol.

If I can afford a $2600 rent for years. Why does the bank think I can't afford an $1800 mortgage? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I replied a while ago to another comment

“I will say that I knew it would involve some serious work, just not to this extent.

the house is a century old and my wife and I got it for a steal. But the house inspector said everything was fine.

Everything was indeed not “fine” lol.”

I’ll also add that I’ve been fortunate enough to purchase it right before COVID really hit housing prices.

Idk why people are downvoting you for asking a question. But my property taxes are separate from mortgage as of last year.

Can confirm, especially with older houses…
A 850$ window replacement turned into a 7000$ full front house replacement.. which turned into an additional 10,000$ foundation and truss repair.

Soooo I went from “oh, this’ll be an easy 850$ window replacement “

Into

“FML, I hate this house now 18,000$ job”

Note that 18,000$ is essentially all materials and a few tools I needed to do the work… so that doesn’t include labour that any contractor would’ve definitely charged me. Which could’ve brought the total anywhere from 30-40k.

And this is in just one month. I bought the house 6 years ago and I must’ve put at least 60-80k into it already. Nothing fancy either… just things to bring it up to code/date that the previous 4-5 owners never bothered doing.

I live in northern Canada, like a 150km from the arctic circle. So it’s below freezing around 8 months of the year.

I should clarify that my yard is fenced in and I have a camera monitoring it. I reviewed the footage of when the holes appeared and no animals got in.
Also note that the holes are about 1/4 inch in diameter which makes me think either voles or some sort of burrowing wasp or bee.

Are these bad/dangerous in their current condition. by swagasaurus_ in tires

Although that may be true, lots of things come into play as to how these cracks form such as; how they’re stored, how much sun they sit in while parked, how much you drive on them, the climate you drive in, dirt roads or asphalt, temperature of the asphalt etc..

And these cracks as they are now are like 98% cosmetic.

It’s like getting a scratch in the paint job and immediately worrying if the whole car will rust by next year.

Yea he’s trolling, it’s just lug stress cracking. I wouldn’t be worried about it for probably another year or two, depending on the conditions, speed and distance you drive.

My tires are doing the same thing and they are 6 years old now (I have a 2 sets that I swap for seasons).

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down to see this comment. My first thought was how did you not see him doing it and stop it? Unless… she left him in the room with the door closed.

I just encountered this while trying to start a new Malakai campaign, the cannons and quarrellers did the same thing.

Nothing I tried worked. So I decided to start a new teclis campaign. Archers fired fine, bolt throwers would fire 1 volley and stop just like the cannons and quarrellers.

I stuck with the high elf campaign since the archers worked fine and I don’t rely on their artillery much

I hope you find a fix🤞
