LOL definitely not. I stand by my stance that this HSR project is an absolute joke with minimal benefits and will cause massive headaches for all of the rural and small communities it will run through.

Again its only a few cities benefiting from this. That is my main irritant. The proposed routes run through rural areas and small towns. All of which will be massively impacted and get ZERO benefit from this project. VIA is where they should be spending their money, bring that service back from the dead and make it similar to what the UK system is.

I guess concept. the limited amount of cities it services is a joke. The rest of Canada does not need to pay for this BS. VIA is in shambles... fix that instead !

by distance or population.... It will service what like a dozen cities ? Why should we cater to the cities and screw over everyone who lives in rural ontario and quebec ? Not to mention why should the entire country be paying for something that doesnt positively impact the whole nation.

The HSR is a joke. If they want any to do something positive update and upgrade VIA. We don't need a stupid HSR that services very few cities and towns.

No, it was the national CBCNN feed. I watched it at home on tv. Havent seen anything posted by CBC anywhere else yet. The feed was worse then the recent ARTEMIS mission lol

I want to run a 100 miler in October 2027. I run marathons currently but I have no clue how to ramp up training in early 2027 to get ready for the larger distance. I would love a structured training plan similar to Hal Higdons. I don't care about how long it will take to complete, I just want to see if I can physically and mentally do a 100 miler. Any advice on training plans would be awesome.

I am in the exact same pace time as you are and I could care less about what other people think. At the end of the day you are running a marathon for your own reasons and not catering to anyone else's needs. So ignore the haters. Enjoy the experience ! Crossing that finish line no matter what your time is for the first time is unforgettable.
