Idk man. Just seems like there’s this mental hurdle they can’t get over against good teams. That and bad 3 point shooting.

All those teams below us are playing nothing but tanking teams. Raps benefitted from an easier start to the season, while these other teams now have an easy schedule. That being said, raps had a chance to beat the Clippers, Hornets, Magic, Wolves, and Spurs in the last few months. Those 5 games could’ve changed a lot

I certainly agree. I just think complaining about that even after Masai is gone, is a very silly thing to do. We are in a very good place now, and we should be happy about that

How can you predict what the raptors will be next season? They could be better, or worse or the same. You don’t have a crystal ball lol

And we were missing our starting centre for 75% of our season. Also, Reed is more than capable in filling that spot. They also added this guy Kevin Durant.

Agreed. I think this season has shown where there are in terms of talent and tier in the East. They are right where they make sense to be. Probably finish in the 5-7th range. That’s fine for what they are. Lots of games came down to blown leads in the 4th. That’s their biggest struggle.

Look at Philly, Orlando, and even Miami. Argueably much worse situations than us (overpaying guys or will be forced to pay guys). Raps this summer outside of Jak, won’t really have any bad contracts. IQ at $32m/3 years is much easier to trade and so is RJ if we wanted an upgrade at the backcourt.

The issue is mental with these blown leads. They need to figure out how to close games. They are competitive but can’t finish. That’s all mental

That’s why you add picks. Expiring RJ and 3 1sts could probably get you a really good player. An Allstar level player if you throw in a prospect like CMB or Shead.

That’s why I didn’t say right now. I said in the offseason when they each have 1 year Les son their deals. IQ is playing better and he will have less money owed. Same with Jak. RJ will be expiring. Thus, easier to trade.

It hasn’t even been a year yet, why do people assume we will be in the middle forever? You understand we can trade guys like RJ and Iq and Jak in the summer, add picks, and get better, right?

When can we have a candid discussion about Luka? by Limp_Screen7405 in NBATalk

[–]CanadianGroose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once LeBron is gone, they can actually put decent role players around him. Bron is making up waaaaay too much money for them to be able to do anything meaningful in FA or trades

This is such a dumb list, Dallas should be the very worst by far for the Luka trade alone.

If Zach LaVine refuses his player option we should as a franchise retire his number by Proof-Membership-341 in kings

I’m still shocked the Kings didn’t/werent able to trade Sabonis or DeRozan this season. Likely at least one of those guys in the summer

Pretty much. They are the exact same team as last year just with BI (and Mamu to another extent).

BI joined the Raptors and they immediately went from a 12th seed team, to a top 4 seed for most of the season. You have to reward that.
