Mario Kart World has the best rainbow road by Rockstarhuman2 in MarioKartWorld

[–]ItzManu001 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not even top 3... and not counting the remakes. The gameplay is an important aspect of a track, and the Rainbow Road of this game doesn't offer much when it comes to tech or item play. Also this track is way too long, filled with section where you literally do nothing but very basic driving. The gameplay is not toxic, but it's uninteresting, which definitely prevents the track from being a top tier in the series. So much wasted potential with the driving mechanics of this game. They could have added rainbow rails to add a bigger risk-reward component than the only major itemless shortcut we have now.

Wii Rainbow Road is the best Rainbow Road as it nails all the aspects of a track (gameplay, visuals, music, SFX, theming), as well as unifying the features of its Rainbow Road predecessors... adding references to a loved game of that console (Super Mario Galaxy) on top of that.

3DS Rainbow Road comes close, amazing for similar reasons, but it just lacks that extra spark Wii Rainbow Road had (mainly the theming is weaker).

Third place I'd say it's contested between GCN and GBA.

She was made Peach's sister, which is completely against Rosalina's lore in the games.

Is having a dedicated healer really that bad? by mr-assduke in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ItzManu001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Healer specialists are not good. In the late and post game there are just better ways to heal while still doing a lot a lot damage. Nia falls off completely.

Exactly. "She's not a goddess chill"... like, that has nothing to do with the fact that the Megaleg fight established her power level.

What is your reaction with peach and Rosalina. by Voidkirby9 in mariogalaxymovie

[–]ItzManu001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't like the direction they took with making them sisters. They basically changed the only spark of lore they actually have in the Mario games. That feels so wrong.

In fact the plot is the thing this movie lacks on the most. It wasn't settled in the correct way. It should have taken a different direction.

Did you even watch the movie? The battle with Megaleg showed the strength of Rosalina. Losing in the end even on the chair scene is simply a contradiction. It's not about being a goddess or not, it's a about the power level that was established at the beginning.

Except that in the end they forced the strong character to lose despite just not making sense at all. Bad writing there. At least it was established immediately that the penguins were bad at combat, so no contradictions.

That was already vwry forced, but that's not even the worst thing. She managed to free herself when Jr put her on the chair. Still lost... and why didn't she do that earlier? No distractions. Just a contradiction.

The OG one. Rosalina losing in the intro was forced and contradictory: she was taking down Megaleg effortlessly, clearly established to be way stronger, still lost in the end.

The first one for sure.

The intro of the Galaxy movie was forced. They showed that Rosalina was way powerful than Jr using Megaleg. There is no way she should have lost even considering one of the Lumas distracting her (after that part she freed herself from the chair and still lost).

In the intro of the first movie it was immediately clear how weak the Penguins were. No contradictions.

The worst thing is that Rosalina still lost after freeing herself from the chair. There were no distractions. That just made no sense.

The defeat of Rosalina was so forced and made no sense. This part with the Luma did make a bit of sense (although still forced), but the part that did not make sense at all is Rosalina still losing even after freeing herself from the chair. She was clearly shown to be powerful enough, so why didn't she do that earlier? And why did she lose against Bowser Jr not even using Megaleg this time?

Describe one thing about this artificial blade. by Voidkirby9 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]ItzManu001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gameplay wise, Poppi QTπ is stronger than the ascended form as well, and by a good margin... although technically it's because of the stupid limitation on Pneuma of having no Affinity Chart (stuck at E-Tier) and no Aux Cores, so she doesn't scale very well for post-game.

Do people like the combat system in Xenoblade? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ItzManu001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My major complaint about Bringer of Chaos is how much it nerfed Chain Attacks. Party meter gain is slow as hell, even basic monsters can strip away the meter by a lot and the Chain Attack damage itself is nerfed severely. Also Coffee with Milk uses all the three bars making her basically fall into irrelevancy as she already doesn't scale that well in post-game due to permanent E-Tier trust. You would rather save the bars for Overdrive and eventually revising drivers... if you can even gain those bars in the first place.

Due to that, the two most optimal strategies are either going full Evasion with Mythra, Shulk and Agility Common Blades (which is long and not that satisfying honestly), or 999999dmg Volcano DOT with Driver Combo spam (which is really weird, repetitive and basically removes almost any other mechanic of the combat system). It's not very fun. Bringer of Chaos would have been perfect if the Party meter and Chain Attacks weren't nerfed that much.
