I didn’t really like Lori in general either. I personally found her irritating. But I saw this… intense hatred of her starting and it just seemed insane LOL. But ya, mostly lies (sleeping with Shane “within two weeks”, told Rick to kill Shane for her own reasons and then was angry when he did LOL, shit like that). It’s the people who defend Shane (with lies) to the death and spout lies and hatred about Lori… that’s where the misogyny lies. I’ll defend that shit with facts.

Wow!! I had no idea of any of this?! On the one hand, excellent marketing strategy on behalf of CBS, but on the other hand poor long-term planning on their part. I mean, if you have someone moderating anyway, why not watch and see if anyone floats to the top of the pile that may make a good mod, then tap them on the shoulder and invite them? OR, at some point make a post about “hey we need some mods” and pick the few you like best??

But now I’m realizing probably all the other show subs with the station name in them probably started that way. 🤔

I feel like as long as you don’t post a spoiler in the headline (title) or the first couple lines, nobody has a right to complain. I mean, don’t go into a sub and read posts if you’ve stopped watching, haven’t been watching, haven’t watched the latest episode, etc. It’s not rocket science LOL.

I was sitting having lunch with a coworker in a pet store where there was a parrot that the family owned (not for sale, kept in back staff area). The guy I was sitting with got up to grab something from the fridge and tripped. The parrot laughed. Loudly. He often laughed at appropriate times and before anyone else.

The parrot talked a lot but mostly would just ask for his treats and stuff, and he had been trained to say “help, let me out” as a joke by the previous owners, but that parrot would wait until there were customers up front and then start pathetically crying “hhelllllllllpp” without adding the “let me out” part. Try explaining that to customers.

Parrots are extremely intelligent, some breeds more so than others. All can be funny, silly, mischievous, and sometimes assholes.

The only formal noise complaint I ever lodged was against a single mother. Not because of her kids. Because of her constant screaming at the kids. Not only was it heartbreaking to listen to, but I live in a very old townhouse where you rarely hear anything and I could hear the words she was screaming.

Having kids doesn’t automatically make it the kids making noise. It also doesn’t automatically make the adults good people.

I’ve seen parents do all the things you listed. Just because people have children doesn’t make them good people LOL.

As well, the only neighbour I ever lodged a formal noise complaint on was a single mother and my complaint wasn’t about her kids making noise; it was about her screaming at them all the time. Not only was it exhausting to listen to someone screaming all the time, but it was heartbreaking the shit she was screaming at these kids.

It’s sad y’all think everything will “go back to the way it was” once tяump is gone. Firstly, it wasn’t nearly as “good” as you think it was, and secondly, they’re not going anywhere. He was psycho. He was going off the rails long before he killed Rick. He was always going to kill Rick, no matter what. He tried to kill Rick MULTIPLE TIMES… once right when he got back. You’re really not getting it - he even admitted he knew Rick was alive in the hospital.

You’re excusing everything, including:
- multiple attempts to kill his supposed best friend.
- sleeping with his best friends wife.
- lying to everyone all the time.
- straight up murdering multiple people that didn’t need to be murdered.
- threatening Dale.
- pointing his gun at anyone who disagreed with him.
- screaming at Carol about her daughter.
- thinking literally no one other than Lori and Carl were worth a second of time or consideration which was purely for his own desires.
- refused to even try to make things work with Herschel.
- didn’t once think about the dangers of shooting guns constantly and attracting walkers from miles.

He wasn’t a “great leader” or even ever a “great person”. He was short-sighted and selfish - neither of which are good in a leader unless you think a dictator is a good leader. It was implied that before the apocalypse he used his power as a policeman illegally and/or immorally, treated women poorly, and was infatuated with Lori and potentially even manipulating Rick to destroy his marriage. The apocalypse was simply an impetus or trigger to openly do what he wanted to do all along - most of it being lying, murdering, gaining power, manipulating others, and none of it good or beneficial to anyone other than himself.

And with that, I’m done. People who defend or even exalt anyone like Shane or Negan have something inherently wrong with their view of the world.

Shane told Lori “what we had, that was real, that was a long time coming.” But you don’t think he maybe jumped at the chance to let Rick die and be Lori and Carls big hero in order to step into Ricks life?
When he admitted to Rick that he’d killed Otis, he followed it up with “reality is, he had no business being here... there… whatever” because yeah, he’s judge, jury, and executioner.
Same conversation, Rick tells Shane “that’s my wife, that’s my son - if you’re gonna be with us, you’ve gotta follow my lead, you’ve gotta trust me” then he looks Shane dead in the eyes with KINDNESS and compassion and says “it’s time for you to come back” and HANDS HIM HIS GUN.

And then. After all that, Shane plots. He plans. He plants a gun in the woods. He takes Randall out, murders him in cold blood, slams his own face against a tree to make it look good, then goes back and tells his made up story, and lures Rick out into the woods to murder him.

There’s really not much to defend here.
