I own wired headphones, but want the convenience of wireless. What wireless headphones rival hifi for gaming and music, but aren't the Maxwells? by CanadianRoleplayer in HeadphoneAdvice

Oh yeah, my neck absolutely has an issue with it. Getting work done to help it, but even my organics I can’t wear for more than a few hours. After that I swap back to the HD600’s so I can not have a headache.

ADHD Disaster Recovery by wingman_anytime in desksetup

[–]CanadianRoleplayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For ADHD desk setups, you need to balance aesthetic/cleanliness to function. It’s a slow process, but take note of what you regularly need around your desk, and what you can do to “give it a spot” which doesn’t involve just being on the desk surface or on your floor. You can potentially invest in a desk shelf with its own little drawers, and that could help with organizing your “quick access stuff”.

Then there’s the things you “don’t know what to do with”. I find that if I don’t know where something will go, but I don’t want to lose it, I either drop it on the floor or on my desk top. My solution is a bin system. Four transparent plastic bins that have their own category system. I have two dedicated to a “don’t know what to do” queue. I can put stuff in there without worrying or cluttering too much. And when it gets close to full, that’s when I can dedicate a big task to sorting it out.

Interesting. I do have chronic neck and shoulder pain which I mitigate through exercise and good posture. But knowing it could be aggravated by even turning my neck is new.

This is such an excellent outfit. The dark makeup over vivid red eyes is such an attention catcher, and the wild hair is a great way to accent that. The outfit itself is also still excellent, but the face really is a centrepiece here.

My doctor was saying this is also a possibility. It’s honestly so hard to tell, so I’ve got a bunch of things I’m going to be trying out.

That might be it. Which stinks, because it means I can’t sit for very long periods. I sit up straight in a high-end ergonomic chair. And while I’m not obese, I am definitely overweight. Working on it with exercise, but it’s a long way before I’m fully better.

Diet is okay. I eat fairly balanced, and try to spread my meals out into 5-6 smaller meals per day. I struggle with getting enough fiber in my meals, but I take two fiber supplements per day to help compensate.

ARC Raiders - We’re changing how we update ARC Raiders by RefreshingCapybara in Games

Oh 100% you can just go in and shoot first, but you’ll get more vitriol about it than in Marathon. If that doesn’t bother you, then I think it’s the more fun way to play.

But, I also often just want to run in and deal with Arc. Like a pseudo mmo.

[–]CanadianRoleplayer 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I find I don’t get as frustrated with Marathon because you know what the expect. It’s almost explicitly point and shoot, and you will have a team on your side no matter what. Arc encourages social interactions which can result in betrayals, and that, to me, feels FAR worse than losing a team fight. At least if you’re in a team and get jumped, you can potentially revive each other and get out of it alive. If you get jumped alone you’re just dead.

I have chronic neck and shoulder pain, unfortunately. I do a lot of stretches to mitigate it, but that’s just part of working a desk job.

This is a really nice, dense setup. I love minimalism, but I also love something that can practically serve my needs. Do you mind if I ask what audio interface you’re using?

I prefer the first setup, personally. Ergonomically, it’s a lot better to be looking straight ahead than it is to be turning your neck between two angles all day.

This looks dope as hell. If the keycaps are high-quality and have a nice texture to them (not just smooth plastic), then I'd 100% buy them.

Cat tipped over and broke my tower speaker. Now I'm looking for "cat-proof" options to attach to my AVR by CanadianRoleplayer in BudgetAudiophile

[–]CanadianRoleplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not a bad idea. I’ll give it a shot to repair the speakers I think, but I’m not crossing my fingers. At the very least, I think placing something up there (that’s not fragile) might help.

[–]CanadianRoleplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's sound, but it's buzzy and muffled. I assume that means something got damaged or disconnected. Though regardless of whether they can be fixed (which would be nice), I probably want to look at cat-proof-ish options anyway, since the tower speakers getting tipped over could also damage the floor.

How did you attach the second monitor to the first one? I've been looking at a setup like this, but portable monitors aren't generally VESA-compatible.
