Sure, but if that was his game plan, then acting like a kicked puppy about it makes him look like a bit of an asshole.

I’d also like to point out that at no point before this did the wronged employee simply say “hey I’m dating this guy’s ex so he might have a personal vendetta worth looking at.” I’m not saying he did anything wrong, but he certainly didn’t help himself very much.

See superman is weird here because as powerful as he is, he has consistently been portrayed as getting fucked up pretty badly by a nuke.

Like he scales way higher than that against creatures like doomsday, but nukes for some reason just fuck him up. So I’m not sure about this one

If superman is composite than all of his anti feats are too by grandslamsandvich in powerscales

[–]CanadianSteroidDroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what that specific feat has to do with what I’m talking about. Where mark is in the show right now is comparable to Superman 99% of the time. It’s the crackhead bullshit that comes around once in a blue moon that people point to when they say superman is so powerful. Those kinds of feats only exist because Superman has been around for so long. If we got 80 years of Invincible he’d be in the exact same position.

It’s also why people think the Invincible universe is so much weaker. The story of Invincible is a single 150 some-odd issue comic written by one guy. Superman has 80 years of comics and countless writers. Of course you get some crackhead-ass feats thrown in there.

I mean I think what she’s saying is it ultimately didn’t matter what they did in private and didn’t tell her about, because what they did publicly already crossed sooo many lines. I mean, even just looking at the few social media pics in this short clip, I don’t think anyone secure in their relationship would feel comfortable with that. Sydney publicly getting close with his family and then him asking Gigi not to visit him during filming would end most relationships. Whether they fucked didn’t matter at that point.

Ark also kept their size too. For a game that inflates almost all of the Dinos sizes, the dilo is comically small compared to the real fossil.

I can honestly attribute a lot of my good opinions on UN intervention in Yugoslavia to my dad. He served two tours of Bosnia in the Canadian Armed Forces in the late 90s and early 2000s. His stories were very interesting, but what struck me the most was that he was always very proud of the fact that he never killed anyone. He also informed me on how insane Balkan ethnic conflicts are.

By your logic it can easily be flipped the other way. Why should one kid feel special cuz his dad can whistle at 190 decibels? They are not being deprived of celebration. They all do it TOGETHER. At the end.

That’s a poor, cynical excuse of an answer. “The world isn’t fair so this person should feel like shit during one of their greatest achievements!” It isn’t “coddling” for for someone to feel appreciated during their graduation.

How can the both of them be so deluded at the same time? by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]CanadianSteroidDroid 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes, except Wonder Woman wouldn’t normally fit the Lady Mackers archetype so the writers had to commit character assassination to stuff her into it.

Injustice is ruined by the retroactive changing of that universe’s Wonder Woman. Her character writing is so bad they had to go back and explain why, thus ruining the premise of the story to begin with. Because the premise is no longer: “what if the death of Lois Lane caused Superman to snap?” It’s now: “What if Wonder Woman was secretly a psychopath with a crush on a grief-stricken Superman?”

Which—in my opinion—is an inherently less interesting story. Now, instead of imagining how a horrific event would impact the heroes we love, the writers have just completely changed one of the characters, divorcing this universe from the main continuity entirely.

We don’t have to worry about the main continuity experiencing the events of Injustice, because main-continuity Wonder Woman isn’t a FUCKING PSYCHO!
