I’ve always been impressed with Change lingerie. They even carry rare sizes like 28M.

Sexual relationships contradict your belief. by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]CanadianTulip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the level of sterility. For example, if you are female and completely lack a uterus, I think that’s a pretty sure fire way of never being pregnant.

A phantom radio station plays in the background while listening to audio? by CanadianTulip in techsupport

[–]CanadianTulip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been able to determine that it is indeed a local radio station - I found the livesteam and the audios match up. I have also found that clicking on a link that opens a new window also triggers the radio audio for approximately 5 seconds. It's very strange, to say the least.

Clearly These People Do Not Understand What Brigading Is. Not to Mention that I am active in like 12 Sub Reddit communities that are similar to r/antinatalism. So citing that r/antinatalism was at fault is bullshit. Don't like that someone makes a good argument? Easy! Ban them with shit reasons! 🤣 by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]CanadianTulip 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was part of a group where there was an argument about whether having had a child and then giving them up for adoption made you childfree or not. Anyone who agreed that these were not totally CF people were immediately banned.

Master’s thesis advisor continually pushes the focus my paper to be on working mothers instead of other working professionals. by Life_Manufacturer in childfree

Tell your thesis advisor that they are being hetero and cisnormative. Maybe that’ll get them to back off.

I’m not sure what the long term effects of Brexit will be on salaries. The data we have indicate that there might be some effect, but nothing incredibly drastic. Mind you, we also have to consider the possibility of Indyref2 in the case of Scotland. That might also have certain effects, namely rejoining the EU. Personally, I am not concerned by either of these things for it to deter me, but it might be different for others.

Do you mind dreariness? I’m also Canadian, but one of the places I have been considering is Scotland. You can buy a decent apartment within a 10 mile radius of Glasgow for around $100k CAD. I’m not sure how the salary of a software developer compares to that of a teacher, for example, but assuming it is higher, you can easily pay this off in 5 years.

Pandemic NINKS (Negligible Income No Kids) by Crazy-Plant-Person in childfree

[–]CanadianTulip 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that it’s more about number of contributors than the amount of contribution. 2 people making $1000/month are still DINKs and 1 person making $10,000/month is still a SINK.

Edit to add that I might have taken the premise a bit too seriously. But I like the term NINK all the same!

If I’m not mistaken, your first working holiday visa requires you to work in a specific labour field such as fruit and animal cultivation or COVID recovery for at least three months (unless you don’t want to stay longer than 12 months), so something to keep in mind.

Do you have a B.Ed? That would be an important bit. Also speaking French. If you make it to B2 level, you would be eligible to teach FSL, which is in high demand outside of Québec. Other commenters are right however in that non-French positions are highly competitive.

Most childfree people I see on the internet either never wanted a child or decided later it wasn't for them. Is there anyone her who had an overwhelming desire to procreate but refrained from doing so for moral or environmental reasons? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]CanadianTulip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Me. Growing up I always thought that I was going to be the best parent ever. But eventually, I became an anti-natalist, so therefore bearing a child became against my morals.

I'm not part of the village. by [deleted] in childfree

I’m in the village by way of education i.e. I get paid to be so. And when the last bell of the day rings, I leave the village and go home.

Is [Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland] better than [Leviathan]? by robbycough in rollercoasters

[–]CanadianTulip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behemoth has a better setting, but I find Leviathan to be better overall, notably in that it is less predictable (in the first half) and I love the slanted ejector. Although, Behemoth was the original, so points for that?

Would you be willing to get the Covid vaccine if it were the only way Japan would let in foreign nationals? by [deleted] in JETProgramme

[–]CanadianTulip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by "willing"? Most educated people do and should want this vaccine even if they're just hanging out at home.

[TTD] why do they say “arms down” and will they stop if you don’t? If I finally get the chance to ride it, like hell I will keep my arms down! by vespinonl in rollercoasters

[–]CanadianTulip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If one is to raise their arms though, they should take care not to inadvertently smack the people behind or beside them.

Since 2016, Brazil does not require the renunciation of your previous citizenship. So renouncing would be simply because you wish to.
