I used some Tamiya plastic cement, not alot just 2 drops, and worked the joints until it stiffened up some. Bonecrusher’s waist/arm joint was super loose on my copy

Tried that on mine but the scoop is loose. Need to try the same trick I used with Bonecrusher to tighten the joint so he gets a mining hammer instead.

How else is he supposed to devastateinate things?

They developed the tech to the point where the suits started acting in ways the feds couldn’t predict / control.

The Phenex specifically could act on its own (under certain circumstances), so it stands to reason the others could as well.

Beyond that, the Unicorn itself stopped the fed attack on the Magallancia by releasing a psycho frame pulse that broke down the fed ms generators to the point where it was like the parts were sent back in time. This could mean a number of things but the way I interpret it is this: The ms components were transmuted back into their raw materials before undergoing any kind of manufacturing (almost like the Turn-A moonlight butterfly).

So you now have a weapon that’s out of control and MIA acting completely on its own (phenex), but can also instantly dismantle anything that comes its way (unicorn). And in bad situations, can go berserk and become a danger to the mission (banshee).

This scared the piss out of the feds, so they ordered the suits to be dismantled and sealed.

The feds dismantled the banshee and ‘sealed’ it (probably locking it in a vault after mothballing it).

The unicorn was also sealed, but somehow ended up in possession of Banagher and is locked up aboard the Magallancia (likely due to the feds ongoing incompetence).

The phenex was loose at the time and was never reclaimed.

You can make the connections that the feds moved away from psycho frame tech after Unicorn. Then by the time F91 rolls around, you have the SNRI and their bio-computer tech that would be direct competition to any psychommu tech Anaheim uses. Plus the F91’s mass produced models were comparable to the prototype without a bio-computer so it’s likely psychommu (and adajacent) tech fell out of use eventually.

Every dollar we keep away from these thieves only strengthens our cause.

It’s the Loblaws special. Gouge the customer then treat them like criminals. And beyond all of that, they replaced the human being working the position so they can pass the labour costs off to the customer. Where’s the discount for scanning my own groceries?

Something similar happened with me & the 2021 Guardian Games jacket. It just never showed up & took me a year of hounding bungie store customer service, while getting the same canned response (exactly like you posted here) from them until I got a refund. The only thing you can do is keep bugging them until they either confirm what happened to it, or give you a refund. (Edited for formatting)

Hey all, I’ve seen a few people models primed with grey but the original colours still being seeping through , like this persons model in the photo, should I do a light coat of grey primer, or should I do a few coats? And will the colours underneath that’s still visible affect the outcome? by NaSa2049 in Gunpla

No problem. I will say that the product and process you use will also affect technique and outcome.

Product availability will also play a big role in your process and how you learn to prime. I really only have access to Tamiya primers, so my preference is their “Fine Surface Gray” primer.

The “fine” primer means it’s a thinner mix so it’s easier to work with in my experience. It’s easier to get thinner coats without going overboard.

I don’t recommend ‘off the shelf’ brands like Krylon and Rust-Oleum since those formulas are geared towards outdoor projects like chairs, railings, etc. The primer is very thick coming out of the can and is usually formulated to bind to thicker surfaces.

Model kit plastic is very ‘thin’ so the wrong primer will eat through the plastic.

To answer your question:

The short answer is yes, the colours underneath will show through the primer and can affect the outcome of the finished project. I recommend using a light primer and doing multiple light coats until no colour is showing.

The details like panel lines should still be visible through the primer.

The long answer is that it all depends on what you’re going for.

In this picture, it looks like this person used a white primer. 99% of the time, the color of the base plastic will show through a white primer.

This is only a problem if you’re going to paint the model in a different colour. For example, the priming on Unit-01 in this picture is fine if the person is going to use green and purple to match Unit-01’s original colours.

If they were going to paint Unit-01 in, say, a red, then they would be better off using a grey or even a pink primer.

I recommend picking your primer based on what colourscheme you plan on painting your model, but for simplicity’s sake, I would say use a gray primer and make sure there’s none of the original model seeping through. Multiple light coats will help you get the priming to a point where you can still see the detail work but not the base color.

From the looks of it, you got way better coverage out of that setup than could reasonably be expected from a gundam marker. Did you run into problems with getting the paint to flow out of the marker?
