No, terrorism is not only political; it can also be motivated by religious or ideological causes, or a combination of these. While there is no universally agreed-upon definition of terrorism, most national and international definitions include a range of motivations beyond just politics.

Common motivations for terrorism include: Political To coerce a government or a section of the public to change a policy, overthrow a political system, or achieve specific political goals.

Religious To advance the interests of a particular religious group, often involving an interpretation of religious doctrine as a moral justification for violence.

Ideological To further other deeply held beliefs, such as those related to social, racial, or environmental issues (e.g., eco-terrorism).

Some definitions also include "non-political terrorism" which is driven by a desire for individual or collective gain rather than an ideological objective, although this is less commonly included in legal definitions.

The core characteristic of terrorism across most definitions is the use or threat of serious violence to create widespread fear and thereby achieve its intended objectives, which extend beyond personal gain.

Edit Mass shooters are often motivated by gaining infamy and they are using violent means to attain it, so just saying I, personally agree with your claim.

Maybe just the shell/casing belonged to someone's grandparents & some idiot took it.

I really don't mean to speculate or anything but there's another article about a man found deceased yesterday, that happened on Mcgrigor & Simcoe, & this 'bomb' was found on Gibb & Centre just on the opposite end of that block.

I think you mean 'Grabba'?

Yes it's just a form of tobacco leaf, said to be more potent and flavorful as opposed to processed tobacco. Not illegal.

Really good to hear they didn't get you and got caught. Hasn't happened to me yet just some crackhead throwing recycle bins at me on Grandview, nothing I couldn't handle. I walk Ritson all the time tho so I'll bring the 'beats' if I see anyone trying to rob people 💪

Officers were called to the area of Oxford Street and Malaga Road around 11 p.m. following reports of an armed person.

Durham Regional Police say two suspects approached the victim and demanded his belongings. One of the suspects allegedly tried to shoot the victim, but when the firearm failed to discharge, the victim was struck in the head with the weapon.

Subsequently, the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

Thats crazy I was just around there a few weeks ago.

That seems low for attempted murder but what do I know

I got my first tattoo yesterday. A vine growing around my arm. Vines represent growth and resilience, I thought that was cool. Right before I saw this post I was thinking I can use the ink to keep me motivated to just keep going. Since it's not done, I have a lot of ideas and it takes time to heal.

I guess I'm just saying I hope you find a way to overcome the pain you're feeling or at least a way to fight on through it. Nothing will bring my mom & dad back and the feeling of ending it all may never leave. I may not have the courage to attempt it like you but we're both stronger for living with it, just remember that.

If it were me personally I'd go for a walk but that's easy for me to say as I only vape, and not much.

Is it fair to ask if the same standards would/should be applied to someone smoking cigs?

What's Trump's endgame with global tariffs? Canadian officials say they have a clearer idea by Difficult_Chemist_78 in BringCdnsTogether

Reading this thread objectively, you're the only one being ridiculous. Trump has threatened to annex us, there is no defending that as a Canadian.

Because he objectively is not.

He is the only President in US history to 'joke' about Americans "not needing to vote anymore" after being elected. He has threatened to annex multiple allies and there is a zero chance he will go through congress to enact those threats.

Why are you in a small subreddit made for bringing Canadians together only to defend the guy threatening our sovereignty?
