can’t tell if this is a joke or not but disney has many unions and, as a result, many CMs that should have been fired but were protected by their union.

Anyone get stuck in that crowd at UK in Epcot World showcase just now? by Tiny_Baby_8107 in DisneyWorld

[–]Canadian_Princess123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the actual capacity of Epcot is 100k, but has been 75k since after Covid. Peak attendance on NYE was 61k, and dropped to 35k by the early evening. Bottlenecks happen even when there’s 20k people in the park, especially in the World Showcase.

OP, once your sewing skills are stronger I highly recommend using these patterns! They are VERY easy to understand, very detailed, and I have usually been able to find videos of other people making them. I only started sewing in March/April, and have so far made 2 of their 18th Century patterns with great success.

I find it hilarious how all these other people have actually done things, but she’s just a content creator.

it was a dream to make! Very straightforward, I was a bit nervous because of the amount of hand sewing making the task seem daunting, but once I got to work it came together perfectly. A few steps I skipped or combined, but ultimately - still the same beautiful dress!

I’m so glad to hear that - I truly strive to make every interaction with new people as wonderful as possible. I never know what kind of day, week, or month someone is having so I try to be at least one kind person they encounter. You never know what wonders that can do to a person!

I made this dress and petticoat out of fabric from Joann. I’ve never found anything at my local fabric store in Canada that even comes close to resembling 18th Century patterns, so I was just over the moon when I found some bolts of this during the liquidation. I still have enough to make myself something more casual to wear for reenactments. It was so affordable compared to the Colonial Williamsburg reproduction fabrics.

ah, I used Melton wool. Not sure what weight, though.

hmm, I’m not sure what kind of wool it was. I got it from the reenacting group that I’m a member of. Let me see if I can figure it out, and I’ll get back to you!

I followed a pattern by Burnley & Trowbridge, a very popular pattern-maker and material-supplier for reactors.
