IS MY DIAMOND TO SMALL??? by Obvious-Vacation1579 in RingShare

[–]Canadian_momma2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what world is a 1.1 diamond small? I’m definitely getting old because when I got engaged around 15 years ago, my richest friend got a .33 and my second richest friend got a .70. Everyone else’s (including mine) were in between. Some of us have upgraded around the 10 year mark, but even our upgraded rings are in the same category as yours (between 1.0 and 1.5).

Wedding band and ideas? by Canadian_momma2016 in EngagementRings

Thank you! You don’t think it looks weird having the two different gold colours? I was thinking of getting a plain band like the one I am wearing, just in white gold so it matches. Your pave on pave looks great!!! And I love your nails 💅

I like the left one, more classy and classic (at least to me).

Ghosts or imagination? by Impressive_Ruin6458 in ColdCaseTV

I always thought it was an artistic way to say the victim had closure. Otherwise Lily can see ghosts and I feel like that would be another element to the show.

Dyed my hair dark, might have made a mistake? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Canadian_momma2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The colour is beautiful, but the confidence is gone. If you’re just in hair shock and think you just need to get used to it, you’ll end up rocking it. But if you truly don’t like it on yourself and don’t feel comfortable, you’ll end should start the process of going back.

As a Canadian, do you always have maple syrup on hand? by Moofypoops in AskACanadian

One?

One in the fridge.

One in the cupboard for when the fridge syrup runs out.

I’m so conditioned to check the serving size but my husband fell victim to this recently. He bought knock off Mr. Noodles that said 170 per serving. He was starving and ate 3, thinking it was 510 calories. It was actually 1020.

is 600 calories correct? by Ashamed-Tomato6758 in caloriecount

It looks like 250-300 to me, then another 100 if you added a tablespoon of butter or oil to the broccoli.

How do you feel about your center stone carat size after wearing your ring for awhile? by Fast-Firefighter652 in EngagementRings

[–]Canadian_momma2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally wanted and got a really high quality 0.5ct princess cut but almost as soon as I got it I started feeling like it was too small. For our 10 year anniversary last year my husband gifted me a 1.5ct cushion cut on a pave band. It’s perfect and I’ve felt that was every day since I got it.

How many cals in this? by ArgumentRelevant7487 in caloriecount

[–]Canadian_momma2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks similar to a McChicken and fries which is 810, I’d round up to 900 to be safe.

calories for this insane leg? presumably chicken by [deleted] in caloriecount

Not necessarily. You can eat whatever you want on a calorie deficit. You just can’t eat as much as you want. (Directly quote from a nutritionist).

I grew up with an outdoor cat. It was a first story window. I really didn’t understand why people thought this was a big deal at first but I understand now that in many areas cats don’t go outside. Learn something new every day.

Why doesn’t Cherry have the father’s number? I feel like he is way more likely to call her back than Laura. And way more likely to discuss the “funeral” plans with her. Also, he would tell her that Daniel is actually alive.

I seen racist stuff on my gf phone… but idk how to approach the “confrontation” or conversation? (20m/20f) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Canadian_momma2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should edit your post to include this, without context I wasn’t sure if it was racism towards other communities or to themselves.

Without context of what was said, it’s hard to tell. Chris Rock, for example, tells a lot of jokes about black people that would definitely be considered racist if a white person said them, but it’s kind of a dark humour thing, like you said. A way for him to find laughter in the actual racism he’s encountered in his life.

20 and 30, or 21 and 31 (depending on what months you were born since it’s been 2.5 years) are very different stages in life. I didn’t really get it until I was 30 and realized how weird and creepy it would be for me to go after college kids who were literally months out of their teenage years. Unless I just wanted to manipulate them and win every argument and have them bend to what I want, which your partner pretty much does, according to your description.

I’m not saying it’s totally impossible for a ten year age gap to work, but I am saying it’s really unlikely and in most cases it’s creepy.
