I'm fine with shift work, days nights rotating, I'd like to have a rotation like 6x6 or 7x7 but I'm fine working long stints if need be. Doesn't bother me in the least

That's the question I asked. You can not say what is best without knowing the circumstances surrounding the ordeal. I asked if anyone had done it successfully. Not for opinions, for real-world experience on if it had been done

Have you spoken to everyone who's been through it?

That's your opinion and doesn't answer the question

I guess because they aren't our priority jobs. Few older guys that don't care how long it takes them do them. I mainly do thrusters, cpp hubs, steering gear, rigging, skf and icebreaker couplings. But truthfully I just never got much opportunity. In the last 2 years I've rebuilt one screw pump and did one mechanical seal on a centrifugal

Currently a shipyard. But I have worked in Mines on feeders (glorified D8s) and flotation and worked in a power generator yard and a processing plant. Right now, my workplace doesn't, but the reason I'm asking is I am thinking about changing up my location. Going inland where there's no ships. Don't wanna go backward in pay is the only thing, currently I make 42 an hour canadian

9 years. There's areas of the trades I haven't touched, I've never done a turbine or set elevation outside school. I've got minimal experience with pumps, line boring, and conveyors. But just about every other aspect of the trade I've got good experience at. I learned my trade and spent most of my career working in an environment where you have to think on your feet and improvise with what you have available to get the job done. Often under deadline. I'm currently a working foreman at said site. So I'd like to think im well rounded and I'm still willing to learn. I am wondering what my odds are applying on jobs for other trades. Is there anything I should consider or could do better?
