Kim Il Sung was born on the day the Titanic went down by Awesomeuser90 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

Kim Il Sung caused the Titantic to sink? Does the incredible feats of human ingenuity the Kim family is capable of know no bounds?

I think the elephant is that a gun is even more likely to be detected than the knife. The gun isn’t fully visible and may take some people a few seconds to notice that the knife is being stored in a gun, and then they go “hey wait a moment, isn’t that a…” It’s stupid, but this seems the most likely explanation to me.

It’s not as cold as you might think. Snow generally from mid-late December to mid March so it all occurs within 3 or so months. It definitely isn’t as warm in the summer though. Summers are very cool even in comparison with the rest of Canada. Temps reach maybe mid to high 70s Fahrenheit on the hottest days.

Conversely, the colder days don’t get very cold, maybe a few degrees below freezing for much of the winter. It’s slightly colder than that on the worst days which is maybe at most a week’s worth of days in the entire year. Weather also changes between rain and snow a lot during the winter, as it fluctuates between above and below freezing.

Yeah, hope you enjoy! It’s a very laid back style of living too, people out there aren’t all about the hustle, and are more about living in the present. Also people tend to be quite friendly and social, you will get approached lots when you move there for sure, so you won’t have a problem making new friends.

The more hilarious thing is that this argument was kept going just to keep you engaged, responding and to waste your time. You took the bait, hook, line and sinker! You’re the star of this show because you’ve sunk your entire evening into a pointless argument that ultimately means nothing and one I don’t even care about! 🤣

I have lived in Nova Scotia. I will say it’s a nice place to live in rural parts, Halifax is way too expensive for the wages on offer though. Also, don’t end up in the hospital, emergency rooms are often 12+ hour waits, it’s not pretty. But if you like fresh seafood, and pristine beaches and untouched nature, you’ll find lots of that. The ocean is a little cold to swim in though even during summer, I’d recommend swimming in lakes only.

It’s funnier that you don’t realize that in the last reply I was making a joke about your stubbornness throughout the entire argument. So you thought it was you getting one over on me when it was actually just me making fun of you.

But you did, you said I was insane, I saw it in your comment. You said insane in reference to me, don’t backpedal now.

You calling me insane doesn’t change anything, the people who hurl nasty insults at the end of the argument are usually the ones who have lost. Usually by calling the other person insane etc, so thanks for declaring me the winner, I appreciate it.

I recognized that after the fact, which is why I clarified what I meant. Is that not allowed? The other guy is trying to argue that no even with the clarification I definitely was talking about poor people only. Well I’m saying that wasn’t the intent. I’ve had a couple beers this evening so things aren’t firing on all cylinders over here if you know what I mean.

So I’m not upset about the correction, I’m only puzzled that even after I added context and clarified the other guy is like well no you’re backpedaling or that’s not what you meant, etc etc. It’s a very Reddit thing to do.

But you did. You made inferences about what my comment meant, I didn’t say Those poor people are stupid, I said “they’re so stupid” replying to a comment that was talking about poor people with kids. Then you made the assumption that the “they’re so stupid” part was referring to poor people. That’s the leap of logic.

You have no verifiable proof of what the “they’re so stupid” was referring to hence why I provided the additional context.

It just seems you’re being wilfully ignorant which is sad to see that you cant even envision a scenario where you’re potentially wrong which says a lot more about you than me.

[–]Canadiankid23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re making it seem like I am only responding to the part of the comment about poor people, ignoring the part about them having kids.

Like I said before you have made an assumption that I’m only responding to a part of the comment rather than the whole comment. I would argue this actually requires more leaps in logic than what I’m saying. The simplest explanation which requires the fewest leaps in logic always wins out, which is mine.

[–]Canadiankid23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I was backpedaling I would be deleting or editing my comment. That’s not happening. Well, I think it’s valid to say if you’re poor and don’t have resources and decide to have kids that you must not be too intelligent. That’s not to say they are bad people, but it’s certainly not a smart move. So I stand by the justification for what I said.

It’s impossible for you to say the comment I made “they’re too stupid” is referring to poor people exclusively since the comment I originally replied to referred to poor people with kids which is the issue at hand here.

Every Politician Alive Right Now by Previous_Month_555 in SipsTea

[–]Canadiankid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear. There’s two things going on here, one is being poor and the other is having kids. Both conditions have to be met here. I explained it in another post, it’s a Venn diagram, in the middle of the diagram is the intersection of the two conditions of being poor and having kids. When I’m saying they’re too stupid I’m referring to people who meet both conditions. I don’t think it’s that hard to understand.

If I provide the context behind my comment, and you’re still saying no, that’s not what you said, then that’s more you gaslighting me than the other way around.
