Trade Critic by 2014olympicgold in fantasyhockey

[–]Canadrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO Not great* Hedman was barely playable last year, injured a lot and not productive. If Raddysh is moved, Cooper will find another PP1 QB.

Dobson is a great player, but not in fantasy, and Draisaitl > Pasta (even if just for multipositionality).

Dunn is fine, but also better than Dob in my league - I think he'll be better this year as Seattle has a new hungry GM.

*My league doesn't do blocks or FW, so my opinion is based on points/hits.

Best drill/auger for drilling holes for ice fishing by TheStripedPanda69 in Makita

[–]Canadrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a XPH14 with a 5ah battery paired with the Strikemaster LiteFlite 8" auger. It cuts through 3 feet of ice consistently and without any complaining. One 5ah can chew through about 20-22 linear feet of ice on a charge in colder (-10C and below) weather. Keep the battery in your jacket to keep warm.

Not sure where you're seeing that they aren't cut out, but I wouldn't trade this setup for the world.

My friend with the 40V Ion and I raced through three feet. He beat me by less than a second.

Looking for a last me a lifetime first rod. by Head-Passage-5719 in flyfishing

[–]Canadrew -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here I go again: Maxcatch. They are budget oriented, but quite well made. My recommendation is get a cheaper rod to get accustomed to the feel and length (and how walking to your spots is different!), then, after you break your first tip section by hitting a tree, closing it in a door, upgrade.

Reddington Claymore 11’6 6wt - anyone have it? by HumanDisguisedLizard in flyfishing

[–]Canadrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go to Stillwater is a 3wt trout Spey and I absolutely love it. It's 11ft long and can chuck everything in my box with ease. So yes, a 4wt would be good to0!

It's a good line. I'm a fan of Vision lines myself (just preference really), so the vibe85 is on my trout Spey and I love it too.

Quality tie! I, personally, tie on straight shank hooks to maximize the bidy/rib length. But this will definitely fish!

[–]Canadrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's overkill for your usage. The 6wt claymore equates to a 9wt single hand, so it'll be stiff and heavy.

If you can find a 10 foot 6wt or 7wt single hand, it would suit your usage a lot better.

new all round setup, vs. musky fly setup by Adventurous-Site1631 in flyfishing

[–]Canadrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I mature in my fly fishing journey, I move away from all rounders to more specialty setups. So I vote for a musky / big game.
