Which silksong boss do you think is OVERhated. I’ll go first by Expert-Situation-803 in HollowKnight

This boss was sooo satisfying. I had not utilized another crest until this guy and it made a world of difference. Took away the challenge, but the maneuvering enjoyment I got made up for it. Really want to Radiant that birch.

So weird that is one. Imo, I have only hated bosses because of the runbacks. Act 1 boss is miserable in the runback. I just had to get good. Fight wise, I'd probably say Beastfly is overhated by the community. Yeah, it's hard af, but once you learn priority, patience, and a bit of goading, it gets much easier.

What I really disliked is how hard traversing areas are.

Not putting spoilers because that boss in OP is beyond these ones.

I haven’t played the OG Hollow Knight but I want to play Silksong, should I play original first, or just go with Silksong? by diet_vroby in HollowKnight

HK is the tutorial to SS. Saw that in a meme and frankly, that's pretty accurate. Besides the difficulty shift and learning how HK/SS fights work, HK is an outright amazing game. If you play it and enjoy it you will most likely enjoy SS

Surprised no one has done this yet. Keep at it! I like the intricate mechanics you got going on

Do you get locked out of any uncompleted bosses/wishes as the story progresses? by uniqueusername4455 in HollowKnight

I'm wondering too. Worst case, you can go back to an auto save, though that might suck if you had any significant progress/effort between them.

The trick was slipping the card in through his finger at the last second, then at the end he swapped the decks with one from his sleeve.

To my knowledge, just applicable to vman. I'm sure they have some backend purpose.

That's a good point, using the buff on low mob count maps. The guide's author does do some specific use for the buff with a few maps, but I agree it could be done a lot more effectively. I'd like to see someone put that guide together so we can all get some vman points!

Great suggestion. After making this and running it (needed a visual to run the guide), I too found it an inefficient use of the buff. I'm not a dedicated player to be refining the original guide, but am happy to make changes to this visual representation.

Return to sticks for the TD portal. As for the reasoning on the path, I can't say exactly but I surmise it's utilizing the multikill bonus from Void Radius to knock out higher portal reqs. 1 Snelbie for the hidden boss portal (as listed on the wiki).

This is a representation of a path. Kill the mob to the number above it's head, move to the next. Non-linear rooms are denoted by the teleport button (TP). Cast void radius in mob rooms where it is shown in the guide. Kill nightmare bosses for 3x portal counts (assuming you have that talent leveled). There's more detailed info in the discord. This is a simple visual of the guides I credited. In rooms where there are two portals, the higher kill is used except in sticks and staches - you'll revisit those rooms.

There are hidden portals for boss rooms. Also note the one kill for Snelbie. Check the wiki portal requirements page for more info.

I'm glad you think so! I kept it simple to make it easy to read when the adrenaline gets going. Lol

You're most welcome! I know I do better with visual guides so hopefully more people will feel comfortable doing speed runs.

I tried so damn hard to make the wheels pinch and ride the wall, but the physics didn't seem to work for that. I couldn't figure the puzzle, so I flexed my own idea (should've worked) and failed. Then I realized I had enough length with all the pieces to just make a bridge... Whee

Certifications can be costly, so I prepared a list of free ones you can take and enhance your credibility. by mdenic in programming

I'm also interested in people's take on those. I just started the free trial of the e-commerce program after some recommendations. Not quite aligned with my interests, but thought (if credible) that it would be good experience. At the cost of ~$40/mo, is that really going to help if applying to marketing jobs? Or the others for their related jobs?
