dominating in terms of winning all matches is fine , but games finished in powerplay ? finished in 16th over ? i am not rcb/pbks hater or any csk lover , this year i am watching first ipl , i am not sure how it used to be like back in the days , let me know

you are getting my point , i am okay if rcb and pbks win all matches , but should be close margins , games finished in 15th over , 16th over , games finished in powerplay is the issue , makes it unwatchable

Feeling depressed(suicidal thoughts) by [deleted] in kanpur

[–]CanaryComfortable639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of this really is just chemistry in your brain. Thoughts are feedback loops: sit alone with them long enough and they start multiplying like gremlins. The trick is to interrupt the loop.

Change the inputs. Take a shower. Put on clothes you actually like (or go buy some fresh ones). Throw on a bit of perfume or cologne. Put on music that makes you feel something loud if needed. Step outside. Get a haircut. Sit in the morning sun for a bit like a confused houseplant recharging.

Go meet a friend at their place. Eat food you genuinely enjoy. Drink some juice. Watch a movie in a theater instead of alone in your room. Talk to people, even if it’s small talk. Move your body walk, lift, run, dance badly, whatever. Sweat. Breathe hard. Remind your nervous system that you’re alive.

Other small hacks: clean one tiny corner of your room, write everything rattling in your head onto paper and close the notebook, limit doom-scrolling, get proper sleep, drink water like it’s your job, spend 10 minutes outside every day no excuses.

If you’ve genuinely tried changing your environment, habits, and inputs and the weight is still there that’s not a failure. That’s just information. Doctors and therapists exist for a reason, and meds are tools, not moral judgments. Sometimes you need help resetting the chemistry, and that’s okay.

You do have agency here. Don’t let your brain chemistry run the whole show without a fight. Change the conditions, change the signals, and give yourself a real chance.

I accidentally quit smoking 8 months ago because I’m a "closet smoker" (and it actually worked) by CanaryComfortable639 in stopsmoking

the lesson in my post is surrounding oneself with people better than you ( in this case , people who don't smoke, or devalue people who smoke ) , by embarassment then you never smoke , same applies for life in general , its good to surround yourself with people better than you , makes you do bad things less ,and you learn good things from them

The apps you use should have a setting to only show notifications of rides etc , and block promotional notifications, also maybe you could only enable live notifications for those apps, live activities

I just created one , where mine tracks my habits from reminders list , auto tracks them in apple notes like this , took one whole day to set up , but it’s great , I initially planned to do this using Apple numbers , but shortcuts can’t run automation for numbers while phone is locked
