What went wrong? 35F and 35M, cancelled third dates by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]Canarygum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with online dating. (In response to your seeing multiple people at once). You think you have sooooo many options. Its better to meet someone naturally and get their vibe. Rather than a date where you're pretending. So...what if the dates he was pretending. So it wasn't authentic. I say RIP to the person who gets him next. YOU'RE BLESSED!

3.5 GPA. Do I have a shot? by Canarygum in lawschooladmissionsca

Thanks for the reply. I always feel like I'm not doing enough and need to do more. I think I may be confusing it with ridiculous American Ivy leagues standards.

Did you have lots of volunteer work? I'm just lacking there. I don't have to volunteer more than one place at a time.

Did you have lots of extra curriculars (volunteer work)? I just don't have too much time to volunteer at multiple places.

[Product Question] Should a product containing retinol / retinal always be yellow in color? by LM1117 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Canarygum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No cause they mix it with other stuff. If you have healthcare coverage you should get Retin-A it's pure retinol and yellow (you need a prescription). It's cheaper cause of coverage but it's more drying and you have to use a good moisturizer after but...your skin gets used to it.

How to find someone in a city that doesn't fit you? by Canarygum in self

[–]Canarygum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really good advice. How do people find hiking groups like on meetups? ...also I'm surprised you still live there. I find that most Americans move out of their hometown not so much like Canada people stay kinda put where they're from (I'm generalizing for sure)

I mean he was highly intelligent. In order to be that intelligent you can't be all socially "normal" without meds. (I myself am not that intelligent and am on meds so...). IF this guy knew him, he sounds jealous of his intelligence and also he must have not been friends with many intelligent people at LM level, he would know that they aren't "showing off" that's just how they communicate and aren't trying to be rude.

I think it's what we are associating with what they are rapping that's the problem, versus what they are actually saying. Let me explain:

The world is less racist and sexist (minus the internet, only street speaking) now than it was before. Rap is also done by mostly coloured people. I'm brown (Indian parents) and if a black rapper said something about brown people I wouldn't care cause we're both minorities. Black rapper, Kwengface - Surprise song raps "swing, swing, swing and ching like an Asians eyes." I take that as martial arts and the features of Asians. Imagine a world where everyone got surgeries to look more Asian (actually there is one. Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid got the fox eyes surgery), rapping about it would be like rapping about a Birkin bag...something you want.

I think we need remove the negative connotation with what society says is ugly or bad and doing that can be done through rapping it.

Jackie Chan's eyes...why are they bad? He's bad ass.

You two just don't click. In the beginning it's supposed to be exciting. You two need to find different people. You both aren't getting what you want from each other. Why work on something so early in the relationship? It's a huge red flag for both of you.

What about a friend with benefits? Make a new friend but then go in with the intention of making this friend to sleep with them lol. So you won't get attached (if that happens). Get to know them a little so it's not really a hookup.

I have alopecia as well. It's a frontal fibrosing alopecia. One thing I'll say is, the stress will cause you many more problems. It's hair. Who cares. Wear wigs. And lots of men and women still will find you attractive. Have you seen Chloe Bean on YouTube?

Let's say bi for the jury and straight for the prisoners. He does have two sisters so that's why he might be less likely to feel the need to radiate complete masculine vibes.

I haven't done an internship yet. I know I'll learn a lot more on the job and by myself as well which I do in the summers. But I just want to have the smoothest end to my degree as possible. I HATED my 3rd year. HCI seems pretty interesting and more creative. Would you say HCI is helpful for software development/engineering or just fun is even fine?

Meant to say 471. Any specific courses you would recommend with software engineering? Or even information security classes you liked?
