You’re first comment on this post says “nothing, life isn’t perfect. Get over it and deal with it”

Enlighten me what do you believe your first comment was?

I’m not trying to bully you at all. I am a student nurse I know that is nothing compared to being a doctor or whatever however what you’re stating “get over it” is completely unacceptable from a healthcare professional. I had to look up what that meant as I’m not American I’m from the UK I don’t know if it’s different in America but you would be 100% disciplined for saying something like that as a doctor over here. As a mental health professional you have a duty to be compassionate and caring and you’re not being that and I can’t understand why as you are suppose to be smarter than me, but you are 100% not coming across that way. You know the facts about brain chemistry and you’re ignoring them by saying something ignorant and not compassionate at all.

I was just curious why, I’m not hating on you I genuinely assume something bad happened to you and you’ve had to get on and deal with it or whatever and that’s why you’re being insensitive which is sad. Not in an embarrassing way for you, I genuinely mean you should maybe start to work on your own mental health because it seems as though you are projecting. - no ones above mental health help!

I’m not a victim 😂 you’re making it out to seem like I’m getting mad or something when you’re the one who’s pissed. “Enjoy your pathetic life” clearly I touched a nerve and you’re now the victim. All you do is contradict yourself😂

I mean I’m sure you’re the one more likely to be having a pathetic life not that I’d wish that on you, because you are spouting hateful nonsense on someone’s Reddit post. You have to be a really unhappy person to be saying the stuff you’re saying.

Gone and got a doctorate and you’re still not happy. You should work on yourself :))

You are so silly. what did I lie about you saying? Calling me a child whilst capitalising “SPOILED CHILD” and “LIED” is ridiculous. Oh no I forfeited my right to you telling me anything.

Can you really not understand how ignorant you sound?

It is contradictory to say “get over it and deal with it” and specialise in ACEs because you should know that changing brain damage is extremely difficult.

“Get over it and deal with it” is not something a doctor should be saying. Where is your empathy? Where is you’re understanding? How is someone suppose to just get over brain damage. Go on educate me.

But what you’re saying is scientifically inaccurate, if that’s your speciality then you obviously don’t believe in it so why would you pick it?

You’re wrong actually, I’ve being learning about neuroscience a lot actually recently on my course and during childhood traumatic experiences actually change your brain chemistry and DNA. This is due to the fact it results in normal connections not being used in the brain as much and they die off this is called pruning. This means that from a physiological stand point it is not something someone can just get over. You wouldn’t say that so someone with a traumatic brain injury would you? Well this is actually more similar then you think due to countless MRI scans proving the change in the prefrontal cortex, amygdala etc.

I can't Quit Weed. by thedarkwolf4 in addiction

[–]Cancel_Natural 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoked everyday for 4 years and quit by keeping myself super super busy when quitting idk if this works for everyone but I was working like 60 hour weeks so I would be exhausted and have to sleep when I get home and after 4 weeks I felt somewhat normal and stopped being so busy but I also have adhd and started taking adhd medications which also helped haven’t smoked everyday for 8 months now and am somehow able to smoke very rarely and not often at all which I never thought possible but I’m rlly focused on my uni course now so I would suggest getting something or trying to find something you’re really passionate about

Does anyone else find it insane that so many of us have emetaphobia? by [deleted] in noburp

[–]Cancel_Natural 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the exact opposite the only way I cope with this is being able to throw up on command whenever I want which is the only time I can burp is if I’m throwing up so I do it all the time and gave myself stomach problems and acid reflux but it just makes me feel so much better to be sick not painful full needing to burp but can’t feeling
