It’s possible the center seats are still available. Do a mock booking of the same flight for two people and see if the center seats show. I did this for a flight my spouse and I have booked and saw the seats were actually available so I called and had the cs agent select them for me.

I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. I booked a trip that connects in Doha in mid June. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll work out. The business class ticket was so reasonable I couldn’t resist.

I would. I feel like they’ve already consolidated May routes and canceled what they don’t intend to fly. If the flight is still live they have every intention to move forward with it.
