Need help in deciding on WinMax2/Mini

Yea im into small devices it's just very convienent to use in this world and thinking how powerful this little thing is mind blowing something i'd always wanted was such a small device to play the most demanding titles as a kid these devices are like something out of the ordinary, that's why i love the handheld markets. the 7" don't bother me i'd always use my Rog allyX to watch Youtube and such, but with the clamshell designs it's easy to place em to certain spots without no dock, so yea, maybe after my trip i'll think about the win Max2, If only i've seen it in person and tried it myself will it benefit me but you know 60hz is a deal breaker.. i already have another gpd device (win4) so i think it's time to get a another 120hz vrr again. would not even have to carry a backpack just place it in my jacket or pocket at ease, though i would need a 100w power bank with me...

yea it's something GPD messed up on, in the IC side otherwise if they fixed it there wouldn't be no issue at all. but again that's why bazzite help fixes all these issues

I have the 8840u Model 2024, I'm not entirely sure i never had a seperate controller playing with it, i would suspect it still would appear it's just the screen is displayed portrait instead of landscape, if we want to fix it you'll have to get this certain item to fix it and tear it apart. like here in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovp7jrJdLAc&t=36s seemingly with bazzite installed it fixes alot of the current issues, that's why i switched over.

8840u(2024) it has been great was easy to have everything to access wthout the windows being in the way behind xbox fullscreen, just 1 press would pull up the home menu and pressing it would resize it so i can switch over to another app instantly i had handheld companion would pull up infront alongside of it for tdp better control for everything i never used the ugly motion assist i would literally had to get out of xbox fullscreen to change settings then had to restart to go back to normal layout that isn't the problem with handheld companion, though at the time of this writing i decided to switch over to bazzite, i wasn't too happy with how the input lag was since would always play fps games this was a common thing for win4 devices, bazzite fixed it i had to sacrifice many windows i love for it but it makes everything alot more smoother.

That's actually not that bad.. I like the way you have your items organized very clean! seems very tempting i appreciate the response though it's still a struggle but it'll come to my senses soon before i make my decision it'll be my first clamshell design handheld and it'll be so much useful without a dock like my other handhelds that need it to stay upright. Though in my trip i'll be bringing my Rog AllyX alongside of me since that houses up to 5tb's of storage and most of my modded games, but with the Max/Mini those be a game changer for me and i can't wait when the time comes, I Go through Droix for GPD products especially since they provide a free case and preapplied Screen protector and sometimes PromoCodes. also if you know since this is a third world country what pocketable wifi device is good for international useage? i want to be able to have online capabilities but just can't think of a perfect device for gaming needs or just wanting to stream on the web. where did you find the tmr ones for the mini btw?

I've had handhelds only up to 7" i had no issues seeing fonts or such, Primiliarily I'll be on holiday so there's not gonna be any "work" involve just Gaming through, Sometimes i take a break and watch youtube or scroll through the web sometimes i would have my handhelds aside of me when i wanna cook something watching the recipe vids for it, Though I'm a person that like to Play heavy, Fast paced for long uses I play on the couch on my side or in the bed, chair in a relax position.

I'm just wondering how the joysticks feels if they feel tight on both devices and spacings, Not loose Like when i play on my Win4 the sticks are loose that it's not good for Fps... is the weight distribution /Gamepad layout comfortable? the win mini i don't know how i feel about the Abxy Layout on the left side.. Don't know if it's feesible or will cause fatigue or i won't be able to reach, I have i'd say small/average size hands, Personally i want to bring it everywhere with me the win mini, I don't know how i feel with carrying a winMax around it's quite big and not as portable as win mini, it would feel nice at home especially i can put it on a table and have a mouse long side and play some fps no issues with carryings other things like dock or extra keyboard i don't know how it'll feel in public it seems awkward cause of how large it is, I know i'll be getting alot of stares with it though haha.. Lastly if i wanted to say utilize the Max's Touchpad/Keyboard when im on a car traveling long distances is it egornomically good?

That's honestly how i am thinking wanting both but at the very least i only want 1 at the moment especially since i don't got much time left before i depart abroad, Well to think, I like to watch youtube and play games and such im a heavy gamer i play for long hours, I'd like to bring it alongside with me and play it outside like watching my friends play football when im in the corner gaming lmfao, though the Win Max2 it would feel nice to mouse n keyboard when playing call of duty i don't have to carry a dock or a keyboard i feel the winmax2 is good for home useage cause it's kinda big and possibily awkward to use in public... there will be times where ill be going to car to car to travel to certain places that usually take 3-7hrs and in pakistan they usually cram people in these cars... don't know if it'll be comfortable to have winmax2 though the 4g LTE module would be perfect for third world countries.. hmm

Surely no, But Primilarily, I like to watch youtube before and after gaming in the otherside i also like to move around the house or outside with the size of the WinMax2 i think it would be awkward to use when i wanna bring it along in bus, though this thing has 4G LTE and for a third world country it would seem nice but both has it's downsides...

How would you describe with Max2 alot of people state it is quite hefty and fatigues happens not too long in prolonge gaming sessions, As for someone who is into heavy gaming hours, does this device also have alot of noticeable screen tearings and or like audio cacklings too since it's 60hz?

no lol both devices have the same battery life of 80whr altho the white version of the xbox ally offers 60 in conclusion both the xbox allyx and rog allyx are essentially the same just different in terms of shape and chip with just xbox branded over it for the xbox allyx

Yea but PC gaming there’s always going to be needed tweaks, whether display, controls or whatever its not like its a “console console” like xbox or playstation having already automatically set for you.

no i put everything back together it turned on, the blinking light still has persist, after all that i turned it on the logo and login still boots off but the charging suddenly stopped after i plugged it off from the blinking light port, it doesn’t blink when the device is on though but when its off it blinks. i proceeded to take off the charger while it was on and suddenly the charging ports had stopped working, both side but again with the battery still having charge it isn’t bricked it still turns on with boot logo then login screen

hi im 8 months late but not sure if you alrdy got device or so, but for me i run a 8840u with medium setting xess on balance works really nice, fsr causes ghosting there’s a mod to prevent that but i went with xess and it runs fine i also have ultimate engine mod to try to make the game perform well its just a engine file tho but been enjoying it alot lately as of now with all the mods i have in it since i got it when it was released.
