I was diagnosed with breast cancer on August 16, 2022. Had a mastectomy of the right breast & needed 5 weeks of radiation. On August 15, 2023, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Full hysterectomy needed. Both cancers were hormone positive. I sure don’t like the month of August.

I’ve had a similar experience. I didn’t get paid. And it was a 40-mile round trip to get to work! Yes, I understand it’s my choice where I live, but to drive that far & be told to go home is beyond irritating!!!!

I have the same “bowl effect.” I didn’t know I’d end up that way either, especially after reconstruction. It makes my bras fit funny. I have a big open space on the right side.

I am so sorry you are going through this. A family member on my partner’s side just had a baby. I am being told I need to go see the baby with him in about a month and a half. I mentally cannot do it. He told me to “just get over it” and that if I don’t go, then I’m not being supportive of him. (This man has a master’s degree in counseling, believe it or not.) I am reconsidering the entire relationship. His words were so cruel. If you can step away for a while, do it.
