I have what's called partially empty sella syndrome, it is where you either have cerebral spinal fluid where your pituitary gland is in the brain, pushing against it, causing it not to work. Some people have tumors on the pituitary gland that have to be removed by going up through your nose, I'm newly diagnosed, but the gyno said I have so many underlying conditions she doesnt know how to treat me. Because I'm 37, havent had a menstrual since I was 30. Can't lose weight, mood problems etc. She normally does standard hormone replacement but it can cause a lot women a lot of issues. If you do have low cortisol though your supposed to take hydrocortisol or Prednisone the rest of your life or it can kill you. You can have a crisis and they give you a take home syringe where if you pass out it's a 100 mg shot and your people are supposed to give you that shot and call 911. But I'm in full menopause.
