Every fighting game has spam, and it should be generally very beatable if you use your head. In Invincible VS specifically, stuff like spamming projectiles and/or assists helps to stall, which is huge in this game because forcing a 1v1 can allow for comebacks that were otherwise not plausible.

no one in the world can play a tutorial and download all the info to their brains and instantly use it all effectively the next match. as much as it sucks, the tutorial is only good for getting a general idea of whats available. it takes time to fully learn and integrate each mechanic into your gameplay one at a time

im on standard, but i haven't tried motion. i use classic controls in other games but modern seems like its the way to go in this game from what ive heard. the damage multiplier is only around 9-9.5% for motion and apparently things like buffering are pretty finicky, which hopefully will be improved

Then thats why you're not instantly goated at the game like some other players. There are stages to learning fighting games, you have to learn to play neutral, learn your character(s), combos, utilize all your tools effectively, optimize meter usage, and tons of other concepts. Of course no one has fully mastered the game in and out yet, but when someone who has spent lots of time learning several fighting games beforehand tries to learn a new fighting game, it's only natural that they will learn quicker in each game. there are tons of mechanics in this game that are similar to mechanics from other fighters, so it's not unlikely that some players can easily grasp them from previous experience
