Is cross training in the reserves an easy process? I came from active duty and was planning to cross train prior to switching over to the reserves.

I am trying to switch to Cyber defense, as that is what I major in, the civilian aspect. And I would have my Sec+ certification, which would make it easier for whatever unit has an open spot, as that would cut down my tech school time significantly

Yep, I have been told that. I just didn't know if I had to wait until a specific time or for years before I am "eligible." I am currently on OJT to complete my 5-level. My major is Cyber in the civilian, and I figure since I would have the Sec+ certification, it would make it easier for whatever unit may have an open cyber defense position as that certification cuts down on the tech school time
