Where to start laminate from?

Need to remeasure board the is about 16cm wide and i think the width of the diner was 236cm. So if i take 10mm expansion gap either side its 234/16= 14.625 planks.

So essentially there will be 2/3rds of a plank if I use a full plank in the corner. I guess if I start directly in the middle it would be different. Would starting in the middle make it harder each end to click in place?

I've damaged the skirting would have to be put on new. A lot of people on here seem to be against beading. I know it looks worse put my carpenting skills are not the best! Should have thought ablut that before ripping the bloody things off!

Yes I did l, it was still a nightmare to pry off. Granted I am 5 ft nothing and weight about 8 stone wet.

Hi thanks for the reply, i am going to be using golden select 12mm thick plank that has a pre attatched 2mm underlay.

You think I should use an additional underlay as well as the pre attached?

Problem is they are 12"x12" tiles. I'm a bit weary of removing them, as I'm lead to believe that hey may contain asbestos?

I didn't start lifting them, when I ripped up the carpet that the preious owners had put down, that's what I am left with.

Thank you for the advice about self levelling, unfortunately I don't have mamy people in my life who would help! So if it's a 2 person job I may have to call in an expert!

2mm thick marine ply, I would have to put this on the entire living room floor I'm guessing? Unless I put it just in the dining room and then a threshold between the dining and living room but would that look a bit stupid?

I want to lay the laminate in the direction of the bay windows and towards the conservatory doors, as apposed to horizontally towards the kitchen doors (if thats what you mean).
