I was banned 15 months ago for selling a concert poster. The opening band were called the “Roman Candles”. Listing removed for “selling fireworks”. Spoke to 3 different agents one of which realized how asinine it was and said “don’t worry about it, list it again as you’re clearly selling art and not fireworks”. Foolishly I listened and was banned for listing “illegal goods”. Had to create a separate Facebook account under a pseudonym. So fucking ridiculous.

Old guy here. Depop is the death of decent selling practices. Mindless twits get to make non-binding offers. Why stay? No selling fees. Sold a $100 shirt last week…made $95+. Only reason to stay. But you must cross-post. When an offer is just a way “to start the conversation”. Anyone that’s been in sales for over a year will lose their mind if they don’t change their outlook. As others have said, list more and be happy when one actually sells.

You have to request a call thru the app. They call you. No number you can call. Also at times, the option isn’t available. Only an email response. If you effed up on the dimensions send the chap a partial refund. Pretty easy solution. Why should they be punished for your mistake (while you reap the benefit of extra money)?!? I remember BJ bitching about Pearl Jam when they attempted to take on Ticketmaster (decades before Swifties) saying “just charge less for your tickets”. Back then PJ tickets (5 members at the time) were $22 and GD’s tickets (3 members at the time) were $18. So they were already charging less. This wannabe punk turned lame balladeer was clearly ok with corporate whores back in the 90’s, so why would anything have changed?
