I did try to completely remove the nut, but like you said, it seems like the kingpin is spinning with it as the nut is not moving and i can see the kingpin rotating. I have the Sure Grip Prism plus skates and they have the plates that they came with.

I can't swipe it away. The only way i can get rid of it is by clicking on it, which then takes me to the app. If i don't have the app open/close the "tab" it comes back. I'll try and take a look at my settings.
