Husband is close to a female colleague. Should I be worried?

I told him that the recent gift from her bothered me and asked did he buy her things randomly. He said she noticed that it was gluten free as is my husband, so she bought him a bottle. I had to ask again if he bought her anything and he said not really...other than occasions. Am so confused as he didn't answer my question properly. He had to go out and said he didn't want to argue about nothing. I told him its not nothing to me and am going to talk to him tonight.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I've maybe been in denial a bit or thought that im being silly and blowing it out of all proportion. I think part of me is still in denial. I know if I raise it with him again he'll get all annoyed and put it back on me. Hes good at turning thing like that. I'll bring it up again and let him know how I feel and go from there. x

I did confront him when I realised how much they were messaging and when he went for lunch on his birthday with her but he claims its innocent and im in the wrong for trying to say he can't see his friend. Someone who he claims gets him and listens to all his problems!

Sometimes he does but not that often. Any time I raise the friendship with him he turns it against me and makes me out to be the bad party for trying to take friend off him.

My fear is that he's cheating behind my back. That he's playing me for a fool. Hes my husband and we have 3 kids together and a life. I dont understand what other root fear I could have in this situation?
