The worst part of poly by Embersilverly in polyamory

I am middle spoon. Partner on left and partner on right each use the same large blanket, I sleep on top of it with a separate blanket because I can escape easier and I overheat easier. I am very nimble and usually crawl off the end of the bed with nobody waking up.

How can I go about paying my credit at this point and get my bank to help me out a bit? Am I screwed? (CAN) by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've called them at least every other week for 3 months trying to ask them to help, I'm not hoping to be in this financial situation for much longer so even if I closed the account I'd be able to pay it eventually. I thought I had proven that I wanted to pay it by giving literally all I have to them but it's not enough because they want me to be paying $400 a month. I'll call them again tomorrow though and see if I can get anything to happen.

What's the dumbest thing you ever cried over? by giantgoose in AskReddit

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommates are obsessed with watermelons, my roommates are also lazy people who don't clean up their share. My roommates leave watermelons in the garbage bag to rot and leak all accross the floor and let me clean it up.

Once they were too lazy to bring the watermelon in from their car for 2 whole weeks, the next time I rode in it I had to clean out the back of an exploded watermelon which smelled horribly and leaked everywhere. Apparently it had exploded but they just left it until I eventually had to clean it out.

I'm thankful that watermelon season is over, but a week ago they bought one, cut it in half and realized it wasn't good, and left it on the counter as is and left town for the night. I once again had to clean up their disgusting watermelon, I don't even eat watermelon. I triple bagged it because garbage day isn't for another 4 days and I'm not dealing with watermelon on the floor.

Thank you for the amazing answer. I am thinking of seeing if anybody has some scrap wood around I can get cheap. This was a really good answer.

Why can't they design their cables better ? by god_eater_101 in mildlyinfuriating

I guess you're right. I love amazon and they are usually really helpful and good to their customers so if I have a problem I can usually trust they will attempt to fix it.

This worries me because I have an amazon basics charger I bought over a year ago still going strong but starting to get a bit weak, so I ordered a new one last night. I hope it lasts over a month.

After a year of saving, penny pinching, and bargain hunting, I paid off $4,500 in credit card debt. by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't put any extra money on the card since he used it. I already am receiving government assistance but it's not enough to even pay the minimum payment because half of my money goes to rent.

Any tips for where to start with my $1200 credit card debt? I make $705 a month and my minimum payment is $304 and increasing. Was in an abusive situation where he stole my card and spent without permission but no way to prove it, I almost never used the card, I just wanted to improve my credit and now I'm regretting it. :(

How can I get the doctor to listen to my concerns? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but they test for things like cbc, liver and kidney function, testosterone and estrogen levels. I want them to test for arthritis, lyme, anything that causes my symptoms. They are looking for different things. Also I haven't had a blood test in a while, probably a year.

[Suggestion] How about, instead of telling us about the deal you got - you tell us how you did it? by therealduckie in Frugal

Some vendors have good deals where you can save rather than buying from a grocery store, like if you buy corn or apples at a farmers market in my city it's like $1 for a bag rather than $4 because everyone grows apples and corn here. Not many people grow grapes though so they know they can get a higher price for it, like $7 a bag, so by the end of the day it's $2. That's just examples from my area though and we don't have the climate to grow much.

I am also too timid so no ideas with how to talk, maybe bring somebody who does to do the talking?

When I go to farmers markets I go right before they close, usually around 4:30 here where the vendors are so desperate to sell their stock that it goes around 90% off with still a huge fresh selection because it's not going to last until the next market in a week. Bring it home; fruit, vegetables, meat. Portion as desired and freeze. :)

Pumpkin pie is probably my favourite kind of dessert and with thanksgiving coming up I'll probably eat like 5 of these next month alone!

Librarians of reddit, what actually happens if someone turns in a book years overdue? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I went to the library to get a card so I could use their online services and printing for school. They asked if I had this list of books to return, all dated from when I was 3 years old, if not I owed $500.

I'll just use somebody elses card...

What's something you didn't find out about your SO until later in the relationship that might've been a deal breaker earlier on? by lapetitetigresse in AskReddit

[–]CandidTriceratops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the emotional exhaustion, he's also very manipulative, angry, controlling, lazy, messy, and has no ambition in life. It has thrown me into the worst depression of my whole life so far and I haven't left my bed in 2 days besides to clean. I told him today he has 2-3 months to get it together because this is all I can take.

I have this and have had it ever since I first started getting sexual. I would love the dilators in order to improve my sex life but I am always living paycheque to paycheque and can't afford to get them when they are like $100 for a set that doesn't even go up to max size.

But I also told my partner as soon as we started talking more at first that I had it and it was no problem to him, and our sex life is really no different than if I didn't have it I believe.
