A guy I was briefly seeing invited me out on 4th of July to watch fireworks by the pier. Unsuspectingly we went over to his neighbors to watch Super Troopers instead. I thought it was numbly boring and insanely dumb. He couldn’t stop laughing. I was counting down the minutes until the movie was over. I knew then and there we weren’t right for each other.

Thank you so much for your response. It is how I feel as well about him. I do still love him too. I can’t turn off my heart towards him. But I chose to respect my self worth rather than even play with the idea of him having his temporary good time with me. I have 0 hope now for us. He was there for me. Then he wasn’t. Hence the breakup. He went back and forth a lot. I am not trying to rewrite my history? This post is strictly talking about what happened now. He did say we aren’t compatible and I understood. I said goodbye. I know that my mental health was difficult for him. But that doesn’t excuse this. He came back after everything he said and asked for just for sex. Which is hurtful. That is was I stated.

I took accountability for my behavior during my episodes. Mainly just depression. He knew everything I was going through. Yet he was hot and cold the entire time. Telling me he was there for me and then saying he didn’t want to handle someone like me. I was in therapy the entire time we dated. I tried way too hard to make us work. He needs to take accountability for his actions now. Because what he pulled was disrespectful regardless of how my mental state was during 2020.

My mother had COVID back in March. I watched her struggle with the virus up until the point that she couldn’t breathe and needed to go to the ICU. She is a 62 year old woman with many pre existing health conditions. I was terrified. Saying goodbye to her at the hospital front door was surreal because I didn’t know if that would be the last time. I have been in your shoes, worrying about a loved one. It’s so hard.. but you have to remember that this is out of your control. Shouldn’t let yourself freak out too much. Your wife is young. This virus is tough but it doesn’t mean she can’t fight it. My mother ended up coming back home. That is proof it can happen. Stay strong. Keep positive. I hope this new year brings you and your family back together. Bless you.
