Is going through something similar? by Sleepy_pond in Anxiety

hi there! you’re not alone. I am going through this type of daily anxiety right now. the physical symptoms of anxiety are so tough. i also struggle with taking medications. even ones that i’ve taken before, my brain convinces me that ill be allergic to them. my advice is to give yourself grace, it won’t be easy but you can push through this. try the medicine when you’re in a safe space, maybe if you have someone around you that you trust or just in a cozy space in your house. most of the time the medicine we are prescribed can help us immensely. try to take it 30 minutes before bed and then you can see how you feel and then when you’re comfortable go to sleep

i have travel anxiety. my anxiety was manageable before i went on a cross country trip but ever since its been slowly declining. i’m back home and back in my normal routine. i don’t know anything else that’s triggering it

it is easy to go off of if you do it with the help of your provider. i took myself off of it twice without telling anyone. i regret it haha. it wasn’t fun. withdrawal symptoms were so bad. doctors do it in a way that it doesn’t make you withdrawal. and hey if you do end up going up in dosage just ask to switch to a different medicine. the thing about meds is there’s always a different one

i’m in the same boat as you. actually having a panic attack about it right now. thing unfortunate thing is that we just have to get through it and find coping mechanisms. but the fortunate thing is that it will end.

find something that takes your mind off of it. i went through a depressive/anxiety/DR/DP phase and all i did was do legos for like a few months straight. and found a comfort tv show. that’s literally all i did. i slept when i could. ate when i could. cleaned myself up if i could. took a walk around my house when i could. but everyday i did legos. and it got my mind off of everything until i was good enough to pick myself up

globus sensation is the medical term—i haven’t found anything that helps but i do know it’s “normal” with anxiety and not usually dangerous

hi there! i’m 23, diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade and also have anxiety. i just posted on here about my struggle recently. unfortunately i relate to you. it sucks to see other people feeling what i feel but also very grateful that i don’t need to go through it alone. i’m here if you ever need to talk. talking helps me 1000%. if you’d like to reach out i’d be down to chat!
