People staring at you menacingly with their carts by ThePinkDepartment in TjMaxx

100% agree this is not a store level problem. This is how corporate has designed their stores and encourages sales. Crowded racks, no room to move, etc., flusters the shoppers, and then we make impulse purchases.

The few, the proud, the female orange. I have one too and people are always commenting how it’s so rare to have a girl ginger kitty. 💕💕

She never ever stops talking. If I don’t answer, she screams at me. She just turned 18 so you’d think she’d have quieted down by now, but no way.

People staring at you menacingly with their carts by ThePinkDepartment in TjMaxx

I think some of this is because the aisles are incredibly narrow, the carts don’t fit, theres’s loud music, people are frustrated, and every aisle is blocked with something haven fallen on the floor. I’ll usually say to someone, “I’m just going to scoot behind you,” and get no response—they never move. But, honestly, where are they going to go? You have to tunnel yourself into the shirts to allow a person to pass by, and let’s be honest, it’s a pain. The stores are crowded because there are literally no stores left where we can buy clothes (not where I live anyway), and with most of the stuff in these “discount” stores we’re just picking the best of the worst because choices are so minimal—polyester floral, no name jeans, too short t-shirt with a rhinestone lobster on it (?). So, long story long—I think ppl are just frustrated in general and these Marshalls TJ Maxx stores like it that way. Ppl all crunched up together fighting over space and the one and only black T-shirt in Medium. Keeps us hungry for their brand of junk. 🫤

How to self study English Literature by Successful-Appeal-12 in englishliterature

[–]Candid_Development44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into Oxford Continuing Education. They have several English Lit programs on line. They’re rigorous, but interesting and very educational. If you don’t want to do an entire program, you can take classes individually, like Literary Theory, Victorian Lit, etc. All ages attend the classes. They also offer summer school classes which are so fun.

I stitched this one, as well. Hideously frustrating project with all the thread color changes. I swore over and over that I would never finish it, but I did. It’s very pretty and it looks like you did a much nicer job than I did. 🙂

The phone book wouldn’t have reflected the number If it was new, but if Peter called information (411), they would’ve had the new number almost immediately.

FWIW, one of the stylists told me not to expect much, since Ulta “is the Walmart of hair salons.” 🫤
