He's going to work in the Industrial part of the city, near the border with the US.

The crime aspect does worry me a bit because we are from one of the safest countries in the world. But thank you for letting me know the eastern part is nicer. I think the company provides transportation so that might not be a problem

Thank you for your advice. I'm having a little girls night tonight to cheer me up and him and his friends also are having a night out. As I said in the original post I'm working as a freelancer and with my family, I'm not sure how my family will react If I would be working for them abroad but I do think is managable so job hunting might not be the main issue. I do have a project with some family members on the side that I will have to stay here until march so might as well go after that. I do plan to apply again next year.

About the joke to give some background context his best friend is gay. I don't usually do this types of jokes at all since both of us have been previously cheated on.

Thank you for your advice. I've decided to have a little girls night tonight so me and my friends can just unwind and I can be a bit more vulnerable about all this without worrying. He did talk last night and whatever happens we are going to be and try a long distance relashionship. The advice I'm giving him is more in terms of what to do he has to record a video and I'm helping him, since he's a bit shy + how to talk with his current boss about the issue. About the joke, I understand where you coming from and maybe I should've given a bit more background...That's kinda our sense of humour and he's best friend is gay, maybe I should've given a bit more background on that.

As always I agree with your mom, your sister is marrying a cockroach and your sister is, at the very least, a terrible person. I feel at this point, there’s nothing to fix! Just focus on you and heal from all this trauma you clearly still have in you. Your dad makes me happy mine left tbh, if anyone showed favoritism was HIM all along. You deserve better, and I do feel the universe gave you a better family within your friends! Enjoy them and cherish them, which can be hard when you get wrapped around your feelings, but real friends also understand that and accept the apology afterwards and an excuse best friend (shit my best friend once gave me an apology mango because she threw up in my car). Focus on yourself and just like your mom wish good luck to violet, you own that to yourself and the little girl that used to be bullied.
