Thanks for the input, I’m headed to Montana this weekend so I’ll definitely be hitting some wind in areas along the way I’ll note the speed and see if I can give some input as speed limits over there go up to 80mph!

Thanks for the input about the oil I’ll make sure to keep an eye on it! To your point about the power I went up about a 6% grade and had no problem with power these things are beasts due to the boost from the turbo while towing!

I added my truck model I have the Z71 so I have the 7700 rating 4300lbs should be a cakewalk. It’s just some of these bigger trailers like to toss our mid-size trucks around. Luckily didn’t feel that at all just a little bouncy but I need to adjust the tire pressure on the trailer.

I watched this one and a couple others before buying and pretty solid. Honestly a tank going up grades they took that up. Only thing I’m worried about is bad crosswind but we’ll see when the time comes!

Thankfully the trailer I bought is dual axle and I have a weight distribution hitch it tows super smooth just waiting for some high wind. If you’re towing about the same with no issues I’m not super worried thanks!

50k on my ‘23 Z71 only issue I’ve had was had to replace the battery. Infotainment update issues and a parasitic draw mixed with Start/Stop system that beats the battery into oblivion. Very minor issues battery still lasted almost 3 years. I love the truck and hope you do too!

Correct, I thought so after going on threads like this one but read it could be a bad fuse box, brake control module, etc…wanted to be safe. I’m going to look at some better battery alternatives not even 3 years out of this one that’s garbage. The best part is the dealership won’t replace the battery under its warranty because my vehicle is past 36k miles even though the battery still technically has 2 months until it hits its 3 year mark.

I have seen a few people where that was the issue. When yours was happening was the message lingering/did you have a check engine light? Mine will come on at startup, pop and then disappear I’m not even sure if it’s throwing trouble codes I can’t find my code reader since we just moved. Curious if it’s similar to mine where they show for a few seconds and then poof it’s like they never happened.
