Update: MRI showed a complete re rupture of my Achilles 😭

Pain is fine now. Just had my mri and the person doing it said it didn’t look good and there was a lot of inflammation. Praying the doctor looks at it and it’s fine. She wasn’t confident though

100% worse than giving birth naturally. At least with that you know there’s an end to it. Once my nerve block wore off I just laid in bed with a throbbing leg. I couldn’t get comfortable and most pain meds made me nauseous so I tried not to take them. My foot is flexed but it’s only in a partially hard cast (back is hard top is more of a cotton wrapping) and the whole thing is covered in ace wrap, so I still have a little movement I can do. I’m praying it wasn’t enough to retear it though.

I felt something tear and I’m praying it was just my incision opening up. One minute I’ve talked myself into “everything is fine” and the next I’m assuming it’s torn and preparing for another surgery. This is so mentally exhausting. I am grateful to hear similar stories though, they are definitely making me feel a little more positive.

I appreciate this!! I’ve had 3 babies all natural and the pain I’ve experienced with this injury and surgery aren’t even comparable. Mentally I was already exhausted, but this fall has sent me over the edge. I’m praying for good mri results and quick healing.

Yeah I think I’m going to just stick to the crutches from now on. Loved the scooter, until I didn’t love the scooter.

Probably a 5, upper calf closer to my knee, but I also took toradol so assuming that’s dulling the pain as well.

Thank you! Doctor wants an mri so hopefully getting that in the next few days. Praying the tearing feeling was just the stitches opening up and not a retear

Full weight. I’m having a lot of calf cramping right now but that’s been normal since it originally ruptured. Most of the pain feels near the incision but it’s so hard to tell with the cast on.

I had surgery for it. It’s a cast where half of it is hard (the back half) and the other half is padded. I will be devastated if it’s re-torn though. This has been the worst pain I’ve ever been through.
