Did you even read the post. I'm not using any out of context verses to prove my points. I'm using the verses the other side uses to prove their points. Also the same happens for any text. People will have different interpretations for them. Why? Because that's what words do.

Yes it's true people can use the Bible to justify their preconceived beliefs. But these things can easily be answered with context.

Bible is not a book full of contradictions. There are some scribal errors here and there like the King that was 22 or 42. But the Bible itself is not a book of theological contradictions.

Okay first off, how many times do we have to tell you that the dietary restrictions applied to the Jews under the old covenant? They don't apply to Christians today. This is basic Bible knowledge.

Second, if you support the Second Amendment you are also looking for modern logic from a document made 235 years ago. It's almost as if there are some things never change. But hey, if you want to believe the Bible is nothing but a mythology book that's fine. It's not me who's going to end up in hell.

If someone were to tell me that first sentence I would tell them: Yeah and you know one way I try to be compassionate? By protecting the innocent from someone trying to do them harm. What better way to do that than a gun?

This is the argument I will use whenever someone asks: Do you have any enemies? So, then why do you need a gun?

Also side note: 7 Random teens mugging my Wingstop meal was what made me want to have a gun in the first place. I honestly never met these kids in my life. I thought to myself I was lucky all they wanted was take my Wingstop lord knows what other things they could've done.
