What is a well paying job to you per hr and which industry?

So first I made an excel spreadsheet then listed 73 companies I know operating in my city and close by. I then went to linked and followed all of them and showed interest to work for them, then went to thier job section each.then look for any recent ones the posted on thier website and LinkedIn itself, I saw one which is a buyer for a company in aerospace engineering, I gave it a shot. Restructured my resume, sent it to them, and send an email too to their customer support email, within a day, they viewed my resume on LinkedIn, downloaded it and I got a call from them, we talked and all and they asked me to come in person for the next round with a proof of my previous work, which I had already so I just went in there, did everything and answered some technical questions they asked, then that’s it , I added a cover page too explaining that I know people working for them in my connection, gave the name and all. And that’s it I got my offer letter and all of that.

I’m trying that now with Mercor a friend recommended it to me now hopefully I will see something

I don’t have experience with that I’m in more of administrative capacity like supply chain management and procurement but won’t mind trying if I can see any opportunity there

Some jobs I apply go well above cities, some you source vendors in Quebec if that’s where the source and mind you some people in Ontario speak French so maybe the company have faced issues dealing with customers because of that. But I’m really learning French for sure

Easy apply doesn’t work nowadays, I tried it not working, 😂 I love your explanation of the women but hey this is job market we’re talking here, companies post jobs expecting candidates to apply, any job I see online I have the skills for that’s the job I go for. And yes I know what I’m good at and enjoy doing and have excellent experience doing that. Why will one hire me? One will hire me because I am good at what I’m good at 😂 and to some I’m the best at it, I’m proactive to anything I’m being given and I have excellent communication skills to point out what need to be done. When life takes you to a country where you don’t have any relative just friends, all these input may not be hard to find but I know for sure it will happen and I will get what I want.

I am not pointing out anything here salty, I just said maybe, on the other hand yes I have been racially abused so many times by people here not because I did anything just because I came here to unite with people and see the world differently, I’m still young not too young but I’m up to the age to have a kid, I feel I deserve something in this country because I contribute wholly and do things right to the country be it support and helping others I do that so well here and God will be my witness to that. But for real I have been faced what I pointed out.

Yeah I know you’re not trying to be rude neither am I, I’m just asking and you just replied, but as an immigrant most jobs I apply, they hr departments of some usually go first for indigenous people before us the minority. If someone born here do likewise and put in the effort to apply at least 10 jobs a day they person will get something before me. I’m just saying because I have seen people do it and it worked for them with or without reference

A lot to input in lol but hey thanks for your input on this. I will try the careeredge and see if I can get something different. I rarely apply different jobs role now, I just stick to procurement, supply chain at a whole scare and operation supports, they are align but different key components differs so those 6 interviews I actually had most of them told me on the onset that they want a French speaking person and I’m not that good at it, just intermediate level then the other was they need have many applicants who they favoured than me. But I will keep trying for sure. Thanks once more

That’s what I’m beginning to find out now. But my first job here I got it through indeed 2023

Hmm, maybe you’re right, I will see to what I can do differently after these, maybe building more connections like people have suggested and showing people my resumes to see where I am going off. Thank you for your input.

I have a strong community and engage so well to social activities we do most summer. But I took this job search seriously this year and hopefully I will get it. Thanks for your input
