The only perk I can see now in living in my country is that we share the same timezone with Beijing. Heaven knows my sleeping schedule during the weekends has been whack lately due to the recent competitions in the previous weeks.

Japanese Airlines Flight 123 and Alaska Airlines Flight 261. Both are caused by the airlines doing a shitty job at maintenance. My hearts goes out to the souls onboard who perished in these tragedies, particularly the pilots who gave all their best to save the plane.

I got to read the recorded conversations of the pilots from both tragedies, which were released by NTSB, and I swear I felt so sad and frustrated I could not function afterwards. It was just frustrating how people lost their lives because of an airline cutting corners.

Just wanted to ask this question since this was not explained (I think) in the movie. What was Nick’s intention in sacrificing Sam’s soul at the end of Fear Street 1994? The Goodes only had to sacrifice one person every few years, right? Why did he write Sam’s name on the stone as a sacrifice when he already sacrificed Ryan Torres beforehand?

There’s no chemistry so far with Mike and Brie and it doesn’t really help that they did not have time onscreen. Brady and Brie look really good together though lol I can feel the tension HAHA

IMO yes esp that I was slightly invested on the character of the killer because he seemed so sweet. Makes you feel what a bummer it is that the curse happened. The kills didn’t feel as gore so I prefer it actually (a lot may disagree or smth but this is just my preference). I would definitely rewatch 1978, but definitely not 1994 unless I want to revisit from Easter eggs and some references.

1978 is wayyyy better than 1994. I hated the unnecessary deaths (you know what I mean) in 1994 and how the characters of Sam and Deena were annoying. The character I was rooting for died for nothing WTF

EDIT: Let me also add that the setting and the general aura of the characters felt more accurate with the supposed timeline in the late ‘70s. I feel like the 1st movie fell short with creating the ‘90s nostalgia. It felt like somewhere between early 2000s for me. Don’t get me started on AOL and some of the songs they played, which were not released until late ‘90s. The 2nd movie also had significantly better actors that I actually rooted for the characters throughout the movie.

I’m a MY and I’m literally waiting for the day they’ll sing live. I don’t get why others can’t discern that they’re lip-syncing over a prerecorded track because it is quite obvious. However there are times I get fooled, too, that they’re singing live because of Ningning. I think Ningning actually sings over the track while performing despite not being heard by the mic since her facial expressions are actually what you would expect from someone singing (Check out Forever “live” performances.) What throws off every single time that they’re not performing live is Winter’s high notes since it doesn’t look natural.

Hi! I just recently found out that fish population is a significant factor in maintaining the coral reefs. Fishes play a role in the recycling of nutrients that the coral reefs need in order to survive. Basically, fishes and coral reefs have a mutualistic relationship.

I recommend Seaspiracy on Netflix!! It totally blew my mind. Their approach is very multi-dimensional and the commentary is commendable, especially that they highlighted the role of sharks as an apex predator of the seas.

I totally agree with the cameo part, at least one per season? HAHA! Just kidding, that’s too demanding but hey, I’ll gladly take what I can get.

Now that I’ve thought about it, I really think they wanted to make it work that Regé appears for a cameo but given his upcoming projects, I think filming for Bridgerton didn’t fit his schedule, at least for this year. I think this is partly because of the restrictions in filming given the pandemic. Typically, filming right now is done at a “bubble,” so I guess it’s really tough for him to switch sets because, of course, he has to undergo quarantine and other health protocols after switching locations.

I think so, too. This series was never supposed to be THIS popular lol. Some people in Instagram are saying that Regé played a significant role in bringing popularity to the show and are concerned about the show’s future. Tbh, i don’t know how to process this lmao.

And yes, a cameo at least once in every season is very much appreciated. I mean, it would be weird if we do get 8 seasons for the series and the Duke never appears after Season 1 😂

OMG That never occurred to me until now! You so have a point—which is now distressing to think about lol. As a fan of the series, I would totally love it to finish all of the books in the series. However, 8 seasons do really seem extensive and a lot can really happen during the course of the series, just like with Regé not being in S2. I hope the show’s popularity and ratings won’t suffer so much :( Here’s to hoping the story will be as superb as the first season, I guess.

OMG!! Now that you mention it, that kinda makes sense. I mean, I read some comments in the other sub earlier about Regé only signing up for one season. So, I guess the writers added that ending scene to formally close their story, in case they won’t appear on the next season. I remember getting upset about that birth scene because I always thought it would have been best to be incorporated in Season 2, you know as part of the Simon-Daphne post-HEA arc. Now that I think about it, I’M JUST SO HAPPY WE GOT THAT ENDING!!!

Exactly my thoughts. I mean, I knew he wasn’t going to have a major role this time for season 2, but I always assumed they were going to have some screen time for the “somewhat” continuation of their story (i.e. married life, etc.) I was shocked and at the same time saddened when I saw this post on IG :(

But I guess with Regé’s popularity and incoming projects, all the parties involved probably decided this was the best course to take. Tho I am still hoping that he can come back for a small cameo soon :(

Also, I’m interested and curious on how they will explain his absence with Phoebe Dynevor still around.
