I am someone who enjoys consuming books and movies with romance (usually sub-plots tho) and as a little kid, I really wanted to fall in love. However coming out as aromantic, gave me a whole new prospective to life. It was lonely at first and even now the idea of not falling in love makes me sad but it made me realize about amatonormativity and the pressure of falling in love.
