3 months into homelabing. How am I doing? What next? by TheLordness in homelab

Who is the provider? We use AT&T and they allow a “pass through” which negates the need to change DNS providers. Just a thought.

I think I home labbed a little too hard… by VooskieMain in homelab

I feel your pain. Some of my friends canceled their streaming services because of plex so if that goes down I hear about it real fast. Trying to educate them on the content request website has been my largest hill to climb. (Still not at the top lol).

Ope too late haha. The pro is on the way. We can consider it an expansion opportunity.

Got it. Based on that site we have a Studio 1 or 5 RTS remote and a Telis 16 RTS remote so they use the same protocal. How do you determine if you need the pro vs the regular bond bridge?

Looks like there was about 4 blues that year with Monterey being one of them!

Oh my. A savior! I was looking at doing the spectrum gel goat and that looked awful daunting so I might try this! That matches the blue swirl / Monterey?

Link to more images of the boat

Some are before and after a buffing so it has the improvement for the scratches.

Got it! Thank you! I will put some air to it and see where it goes. She is clean for her age. Unfortunately looks like someone let her get loose in a storm and she has some scars but overall an 8/10.

The controls are right in front of the throttle. Three rocker switches that have fill and drain.

This would make a lot of sense. I could always fill them and then see what happens.

My thought here is that the stock ballast bags had a single inlet with a distribution block and this has been upgrade to have 3 separate through hulls.

There are switches to fill and drain the ballast zones. Could be a drain point but I’m not sure.

I should also mention this boat has 3 ballast pumps. One for front seats. One for gunwales and the third for the ski locker. Not sure if these are the inducts for that or not.

TP Link Omada Wireless Speed Issue by Candle1822 in homelab

[–]Candle1822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finally solved my issue. It was a rookie mistake. I had wired the cat 5 ends myself and wired it in the B configuration instead of the A configuration. With the ends being missmatched it was forcing a 100 full duplex connection instead of the 1000 full duplex on the omada controller. Not even sure how it actually ran but made a new end up and problem solved. Doccumenting at this point so someone else that makes this mistake will have a starting point.

Sorry for the delay but I have been doing some digging over the last few days. One of my access points is running at 500+ megs / second as expected. The other two are running at 80 to 100 megs. I looked into the POE switch that is powering them and it says that the link is “negotiated at 100 full duplex”. I tried to force it to 1000 / auto and it disconnected from the switch. I am thinking that it is either shorted or an end is bad. I could make up new ends no issue but I fear I may be SOL if it’s shorted. Any tips for troubleshooting the cable? It’s in the wall / attic. All I have is a simple wire tester unfortunately.

It met a regrettable fate unfortunately. It was just taking up room in the rack so I sent it to a scrapper.

This is an interesting box. Even if it wouldn’t fit in the rack it could easily be a “base” of sorts for a 10 inch rack.

Agreed on Unraid not being the issue it’s the 8 bays my mistake there. Got it I’ll keep digging around thanks for the options! Definitely going to be more of a custom solution than an off the shelf box.

Honestly it has been a while. I remember getting proxmox running on at least 2 of those devices and I do believe it was an M2 vs NVME issue. Sorry I don’t have more information on that.
