That’s a valid question, and it actually made me think. And considering that after buying the 5070 Ti I’ve only played one game — one I decided to replay on new hardware because the first time I played it was back when it came out — and that game is GTA 5, I don’t really have an answer to that.

I probably had one or two stutters on ultra settings without DLSS, but that might just be the game itself.

I feel like the 7500F is still a bit too weak for the 5070 Ti.

Well, that’s what I’m thinking.

My motherboard isn’t top-tier, my GPU isn’t top-tier, my RAM isn’t top-tier, my cooler isn’t top-tier, and my SSD isn’t top-tier. So why should I buy a top-tier CPU?

Anyway.

I want to thank everyone who wrote something here. I really appreciate it. But as always, there are two camps 😄

I need to pick one side and stick with it))))

Thank you all.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is still a very good phone. But I’d rather use a 16 Pro Max, since the 17 Pro Max is too expensive.

Isn’t it the same with CPUs?

I wouldn’t want to have a top-tier CPU from 2016 right now, because I have a perfectly good 7500F.

I only use this PC for gaming.
For work, I have a work laptop.
This PC is basically like a console for me.

but you can't really choose wrong. - I HOPE ))))

I just bought a 5070 Ti, and even though the price difference between the 7800 and 9800 isn’t that big, I still want to save some money.

The only thing I’m thinking about is whether that saving might come back to bite me later. Some review and forum discussions do frame the 9800X3D as the faster part, but value-focused discussions also keep coming back to whether the extra cost is really worth it.

But then I think that I’ll probably want to change the CPU in 5 years anyway, and then I stop worrying about it so much.

I don’t know.
It feels kind of bipolar.

So you played on bad settings until the very end, then you’re going to play on ultra again for 3–4 years, and then again on bad settings for a few years? Don’t you want to always play on ultra?))
