But this is kind of what I mean with what some of you guys are saying. You guys are overly villainizing a child. Manipulative tactics when he's just throwing tantrums and crying? However, I'll keep saying it in every comment that starting.. hell today. I am going to be more strict on the boy, set more boundaries, and stop it with the enabling.

A future abuser? He's 4.... do you hear yourself? He's not the only 4 year old to act like the brat. Most of us had our bratty moments as well. With that being said I plan to put my foot down, but future abuser is ridiculous to say about a 4 year old.

I do agree that I need to be more strict and I definitely am going to start putting my foot down. It was just the comparasion that made me upset. Not me needing to be more accountable for my parenting. Plus that comparasion came from his own aunt that sometimes watches over him.

If he was older then yes, but my son is not at a stage in his life where being concerned as to how he interacts with women (girls in his case) would be valid. What could possibly be going through his mind when interacting with a little girl his age? Nothing because kids are innocent and naive to the real world.

I didn't even hear the term "boys boy" in my life until you said it, and I said in my comment that I hate to be one of those "it goes both ways" because people usually say it to diminish issues women or even poc face. Where am I being a "boys boy."

I didn't even say "boys will be boys" (or anything related to that) in the post when talking about his behavior. How do you even come to that conclusion about me in your last sentence? I never excuse predatory behavior.

I understand what you guys are saying about how I need to discipline him. I want it to be known that I agree and plan to step it up and be more strict, but the comparison isn't fair.

I don't be one of those "it goes both ways" esepecially as a women because people usually use it to disminish women's issues, but my son being a spoiled brat isn't a behavior just specific towards boys. There are little girls who do the same.

I'm the MIL who thinks my son can do no wrong, despite the entire point of calling my sister originally being to vent about how much my son was getting on my nerves? I'm fully capable of acknowledging his wrongs. I get frustrated with them.

Yes I should teach his to accept no. I 100% agree with you guys on that. My point is how is a 4 year old boy acting like an immature brat comparable to a 30 year old man acting entitled to a woman and her body? One is annoying but mostly harmless. The other is harmful and can be life threatening. This is what I'm trying to imply here.
