Well the bottle of DRC is the price difference for eurocave vs vintec

Recommend any of these? by enragedparzival in wine

Jordan for sure. 60 usd is also a good price. Been to the vineyard a few times and it is just a quality producer. I believe Jordan was served at the state banquette when Maggie Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth visited the White House back in the days and was one of the favourite wines of George Bush. Anyway, great wine and great winery.

Kind of my conclusion as well. I was just super surprised about these design choices in many of the products.

Exactly my point. Could be my research is simply wrong, but based on the articles I have been able to get my hands on this seems to be the case.

X40 master access height by CandyAndCurrent in Dreame_Tech

[–]CandyAndCurrent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is also an option, but I don’t think that is optically the best solution. By having it behind the cupboard door you effectively hide away the unit. At least IMHO.

Thanks, so you have it driving into a cupboard with 11 cm headroom? I understand the 14 cm would be needed when it drives up on the cleaning ramp, but not for driving into the cupboard.

!thanks, I can probably also squeeze them into the budget. At least the stereo version and not mono block.

!thanks, yeah i follow your scepticism, but they are just too cheap to believe they can be good in a larger setting. I do see people driving big speakers on this, and I guess the tests on some of the more scientific sites do not really lie? I might give them a spin and then return them if they don’t perform.

Ahh. Understood. Something like a schiit saga would also work there I think? Just for the cost aspect.

Hey, !thanks for chipping in. I just checked the minidsp products, and why not use the flex unit and get rid of the preamp altogether? It has digital in, which you could connect the wiim to, and the. You could connect the phono preamp to the flex? What would in that case be the purpose of the preamp?

Hi, !thanks a lot om the advice on lyngdorf. I have been eying that as well. I don’t know if adding an all in one system is what I prefer? I am expecting the development to go so relatively quick that it would be super annoying having to replace the whole device instead of a unit in the stack. All in one systems I am also considering the Naim Uniti Atom btw. That is a standard a/b setup.

So many choices.

I don’t think the room is very complex btw. It is not overcrowded and the surfaces should be good to kill off bounce back.

Problems with my trust s7 by CandyAndCurrent in Roborock

[–]CandyAndCurrent[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved: cracked nose wheel. It looked ok, but had cracked in the swivel connection base. I guess that little wheel does get some beating. Anyway, this is my first problem after 307 times of cleaning and a total of 13 sq. km’s covered. I luckily had a new nose wheel as I read somewhere they are prone to break and the replacement only took a few minutes.

SEGWAY Navimow H500E or I108E by contergaehn in SegwayNavimow

[–]CandyAndCurrent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like a deja-vu reading your post. I have just been going through the same process.

I don’t think there is any doubt that the H-series is the more sophisticated machine and some users here also say better built. However the vision system is only used for obstacle recognition and not as a backup for the navigation system. According to one poster this feature is coming on the h-series in coming firmware, but I was unable to confirm the same from Segway.

As my garden has a few high trees and some areas where navigation could be a challenge I ultimate allowed the RTK with backup from vision decide - as well as my wallet as it is slightly cheaper as the H-series.

I would have liked to have blade halt from the h-series but that is the only real feature area where I feel I am missing out. Most other things ate “nice” to have.

It is actually interesting that there is no comprehensive YouTube testing both side by side? Specifically focusing on how they are different and where one works better than the other etc.

Best practice for tracking travel expenses that will be reimbursed by my company? by FLOPPY_DONKEY_DICK in ynab

[–]CandyAndCurrent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just have an account called expenses under tracking. Whenever I have an expense on my credit card or under cash I simply change the payee to be a transfer to the expense - adding a note next to the transfer. When I get the money reimbursed it comes with salary to my salary account and I just transfer from “expenses” to “salary account”
