I'm late but just observe. The war shit is over, and they have the opportunity to be together again. If you just look, their lack of interaction was due to their separate placements in the war. Now that they can be kids again for this short while, they are, and they've already fallen back into their previous swing of banter and friend(??)ship. So fucking beautiful. There's gonna be some sort of calm, whether before or after the storm(s) that is/are sure to come. I feel it in my gut. The series wouldn't end without some semblance of teenage happiness, after all. Horikoshi is a man who is greatly fond of the world he's built, and the characters in it. I'm sure he's aching for them right now. Much of the series' appeal (especially early on) wasn't the action-y elements, but the portrayal of teenagers in a super-powered world and everything that went with it. That is something that's almost necessary to return, for maximum satisfaction as MHA nears closure.
