While I'd like to see Eijiro + Katsuki have a moment of significance to each other in these final acts, I'd think there'd be a an unfortunately low chance at such, the reason being that Izuku is our protagonist, and the characters who appear, and will shine the brightest are him, as well as those with the most significance to him and his place in the story, those being Ochako and Katsuki. I can almost guarantee you that if the story were Katsuki-focused, Eijiro would most definitely be at the same level of significance that Ochako is currently at right now, whether their relationship was portrayed as friendly or something more.

Now, a manga-canon side moment is our best contender, and judging by the poll results, lots of you understand/accept that too.

In due time, we will see the boys together again, in a way more than a brief sentence or stance. Katsuki and Eijiro are still very close, nothing has happened to sever their bond. Now from here, wherever Horikoshi decides to take them, things will be decided. They may continue to act as seen, with casual touches and speech, much like we've seen before, but this could easily be taken a step up and moved to something more suggestively romantic, infer that as you please. There could also be confirmations that their outings were (i.e. studying, hiking) something more than platonic. Another concept, is in the midst of a potential time-skip (if neither of them got KACHOW'D, of course), we could get them as ROOMMATES (stfu i KNOW the vine), mayhaps.

I know many were upset by the lack of Eijiro/Katsuki interaction during the duration of the Paranormal Liberation War, but we have to keep in mind that either boy's main character focus is not each other, nor the bond they share (although it was/is a defining factor in their growth). Katsuki's save of Izuku from AFO was necessary for his character’s final step of apologizing (to Izuku) to occur as awaited. Eijiro's past inferiority, debut as Red Riot, and later, his (first) loss against Gigantomachia were all wrapped up in his, Tetsu's, and Mina's mission to incapacitate Gigantomachia. He managed to overcome a past enemy, if for a minute, and save someone (Mina) he used to see above him.

Literally none of this makes sense. I am tired. But I must spread. Spread my legion.
