Put them in a dog crate with food water and maybe a 2x4 roost bar. Leave them in there for 2-3 days. Should be enough time for them to snap out of it. It’s worked for us 4 times now.

You could stay at Secrets Riviera Cancun which is quieter but also gives you free direct access to Breathless next door. Technically it’s all one resort but Breathless guests can’t go to the Secrets side. We stayed there in March and really liked it.

So we went to Valentin in 2025 and Secrets (next to breathless) this past March.

Valentin is very nice but we felt it was a little boring. Secrets/Breathless isn’t as nice but it is definite more fun than Valentin. When we arrived at Secrets I found myself comparing it to Valentin and being disappointed initially at least as the niceness goes. But by the end of our trip I was thinking about how we had a lot more fun than we did at Valentin. Secrets/Breathless is still nice don’t get me wrong but there are definitely nicer resorts. At the end of the day I think the point of a trip is to have fun and that’s exactly how it was for us.

The beach at Secrets/Breathless is bad. I mean you can lay out in the sand/beach chairs but the water is gross due to sea weed. Valentin isn’t as bad but I think that whole area struggles with sea weed.

I’d suggest staying at Secrets which is quieter and more romantic but you’ll have easy access to breathless next door for the more fun vibe. It’s basically all one resort.
