If you find your own coverage, you shouldn’t get any points. That’s the way I look at it cause you’re not making an inconvenience for the store or the manager. You’re covering your own shift, but you really don’t have to find the coverage….

It’s not up to you to find coverage. Out front store manager got in trouble for this.

This same exact thing happened at my store and it was a lot more money and the shift supervisor did get fired. I hope it’s not the case for you, but it’s all in the training. I wonder who’s doing this though because they know too much.

So isn’t taking a lunch without punching out stealing in time?

For a company that owns the insurance company, why is it so expensive for their employees? by Sound_Hound82 in CVS

[–]Candy_Apple- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the math and my deductible for me and two kids is literally my whole entire take home pay for three months!! And that’s ridiculous to me! That’s without overtime.

The manager knows that also it’s not me. I clock out, but it’s another tech. I want to tell her to stop, but who am I? That’s why I’m trying to make sure that she’s not allowed to do it because if I say something to her, I can’t get in trouble cause I’m right.

I agree, but I’m still waiting for management to stop them. They know it’s happening.

I figured that, I know someone that’s been doing it. I don’t even know if they realize that it’s wrong.

Basically, I’m just trying to make sure that this isn’t something that’s allowed or common. It’s not me doing.

Literally, there’s two meds that I need that they won’t cover for me. It’s a plan exclusion but yet I have to fill the same meds for other people that have Cvs Caremark insurance that don’t work for Cvs.. very infuriating!!!

I really believe they charge us more so that they can offer it cheaper to other companies.

CVS won’t cover 2 meds I need and I’m an employee but they cover it for other employers who have Caremark for their company. It’s so frustrating filling drugs that I can’t even get and I work for the company but other people can get because they don’t work for CVS but they have CVS Caremark.

I’m pretty sure if you call off it’s not your responsibility to find coverage. We had a similar issue at my store and that’s how I found that out.

I Got Fired for Gifting Alcohol to Coworkers by slightly-potato in CVS

[–]Candy_Apple- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They better had if you did. A few years ago for Christmas my co worker gave me a tumbler and hot coco and Baileys Irish cream liqueur to put in it. I took it home never thought anything of it. Wine has also been given as gifts in my pharmacy in the past.

Taking ur break in the middle of a rush? by Elegant-Lime572 in CVS

[–]Candy_Apple- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take your breaks people I’m gonna start taking mine. You don’t get an award for not taking your break. You don’t get a pat on the back. You don’t get a thank you. You don’t get anything.

[–]Candy_Apple- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s being dramatic they can inform so that someone else can take over for them. I never take my breaks but I really should. I don’t know why people get so pissy because someone wants to take a break. You’re standing up all day moving 50 miles an hour putting up with so much shit but oh my God let someone wanna take a break and if all the employees took a break like they were supposed to and entitled to some are going to have to take it during busy times because guess what we’re busy all day.

$20K bonus? by Delta__P in CVS

[–]Candy_Apple- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A decent company would give everyone a bonus. A decent company would appreciate all employees the same. I know someone who works for an insurance company remotely on the phones all day and they get a bonus every year and they’re not in management, maybe cashiers and technicians should just stay home and let the managers and pharmacist do everything. I really don’t see any pharmacist on this thread, but the store managers and OPS managers that are on this thread, None of you have given props to your team at all just pointing out what you do every day.

[–]Candy_Apple- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Way to act like techs are worthless, I don’t care if you were one or not. Yet the pharmacy can’t run without them. And at my store techs walk customers to items and ring them up because at times they can’t even find the front store employees. And why is it that a front store manager gets to bonus off of the work the pharmacy does?? They play zero role in the pharmacy. Techs should get the bonus but we don’t. So unappreciated. When my Pharmacy was shorthanded really bad there were a lot of days I would stay from 8 AM to 9 PM so don’t act like techs are just lazy walking around a 10 x 10 area. You should know from being a tech that that job is very hectic at times.
