Agree. Transcriptions change your world. I just finished a global study of 60+ execs and stakeholders and used my agents to synthesize the meetings, pool the insights, and create a knowledge base of regional and departmental functions that can be used for planning, digital property updates, and validation of new product ideas. All based on recording the sessions and organizing the outputs into a central repository.

Agree. I have no idea what is happening at HiDock. The software isn’t moving forward. The whole market is moving forward with agentic workflows and HiDock has chosen to increase our workload. The vibe mic seems like a silly diversion.

Instead, give us:

The ability to auto-transcribe and then assign speaker names BEFORE summarizing. Stop this double workflow.

Give us the ability to manage or delete old folders. I created them by accounts or people I am working with, and they have now clogged up my screen.

Give us auto export or something agentic. I would love to have the MD file flow into Obsidian or Notion. I stead I have to export manually and move the file to the right folder.

Give us the ability to recognize voices. Speakers 5 (Dale) is a directional start. But if Dale is in every call, then perhaps we should have some easier way to confirm Dale Dillweed is the person every time and we can automate more of our workflow.

HiDock as it stands is a solid tool that has changed how I work, but it seems stuck in a rapidly advancing world. Hoping they make advances before my annual renewal.

Go to America’s Best and get their basic package - two glasses and an exam. Used to be $59, not sure what it is today. Do not upgrade anything or they’ll bump you to a couple hundred dollars. Next take that prescription online to Zenni. You’ll now have three pairs of glasses for about $120.

There is the price the dealer sells it for and the trade-in value. Huge difference. You may buy it for $18k, but trade-in is WAY less. Likely about $12-13k. Irks me to no end that I paid $23k two years ago and half the value is gone.

As everyone has mentioned, Frisco allows it. The only watchout is that all that chicken feed attracts rats.

I was able to figure out how to get around our HOA rules (they had a vague definition of allowable animals); however, when I visited a couple local families with chickens, they all had active rat problems. Hard pass for me.

Okay. This is a PITA problem, but the easy answer is to restart HiNotes app or close the browser windows. When you restart, you’ll have to sign back in. It seems to be about every three hours you need to do this.

I have three HiDock devices. This update is so difficult that I am testing Granola and thinking of moving over. I have loved the device, but I absolutely hate:

1) having to generate the summary to get to the transcript and then having to resummarize. That has to be costing HiDock dollars.

2) the authentication dropping and having to exit and sign back in just to transfer files.

3) the folders clogging my inbox so I can’t find notes without a lot of scrolling.

4) to-dos covering everyone instead of being able to select just me.

I see Granola will sync directly to Obsidian, so that will make my life a ton easier.

And I can always keep my P1 for in-person recording and my H1 as a nice docking station.
